What's up guys,

Just got a 93 Honda CX that I've slowly been rebuilding as a decent DD. I have another boosted Honda as my fast car, so I've been setting this car up as a good MPG and canyon carver. I have replaced all the suspension and bushings, and installed a 24mm front and 14m rear sway bar off an Integra, as well as new LCA's so I can mount the end links. This with a set of 15inch Mini Cooper rims, which weighed 1lb more than my stock 13inch steelies, completely transformed the car into a hoot around corners! I have pulled the entire interior and am waiting to have my friend weld in the new rear fenders and sills, before I can quiet coat the interior and put in the new carpet/seats. I also did the rear disc conversion, 40/40 prop valve change and put in a D16y7/5 speed tranny swap to replace the terminal D15B8 that was in there before. I put in a P06 ECU, wired in a 4 wire O2 and a P06 intake plenum/injectors/TB and the car has a lot more pep. I also got the A/C parts from the EK CX that I got the motor from and am installing it in my car. I couldn't drive in the summer without it! Here are some pics from the build, constructive criticism is appreciated. Also, if you have any advice on how to fix a water leak that comes in behind the tail lights inside the trunk, i'd forever be grateful.

There should be a foam weather stripping seal behind the taillight housing. You may need to replace yours or maybe use some rubber seal material to make your own "gasket".

I put in new gaskets and it's still doing. I bet it has something to do with all the rust back there. I'll have a closer look when I cut out all the rot in the next couple weeks. Do you know if we have actual drain pipes for a CX without a sunroof?

yeah, I replaced them at first too, as that's what most people said it was, but even the new ones are leaking, so I'm guessing its coming from somewhere else.


In regards to twisties, you'd be surprised, as at least where I live in NJ, there are some amazing back roads that I have to take to get to work. It makes the commute all the more entertaining when you have a well poised car to drive in.

 

Hmm.. Im not sure if there are. I think there is under the mouldings in the roof but dont quote me on that..
