RE-11s are $728 without shipping and R888s have no good sizes in 16s....
My Azenis RT-615s are toast after almost 4 years, imagine that.... What do you guys think about RE-760s, Dunlop Direzza DZ101, or BFG G-Force Sport Comp-2?
I need a decently sticky tire under $550 shipped in a 205-45-16 and those are the tires that keep coming up as the best bang for my buck.

I drove on some rt615 a while ago - was pretty unimpressed. Too hard, and greasy as mashimaro stated pretty much. Sounds like the Ks are much better though.
You should look into federal 595-rsr - they come in 205/45/16. They have got to be my favourite tire in that class, very impressed. I rate them over ad07 (which i loved) and kumho XS. Havent tried re11 yet but I expect them to be great, although expensive!
Im 24 soon. Wide range of ages in here! Cool to see you guys in your 30s still into hondas, I hope to keep mine as long as I have somewhere to store it.
Also, 16s on EGs

^love your car dood!
i'm debating that J's CF duct as well but it's very hard to find these days.
if i recall, the RE11's also come in 205/45/16 as my RE01R's were that size when i ran the 16" TE37's.
Anyone ever try the Advan AD08? i hear it's a good tire as well, but not very common (possible due to price?).
*edit - the Dunlop Z101 is a horrible tire. nothing like the starspecs at all. loud, horrible grip in dry and wet. haven't heard anything good about them from anyone else either.

I got lucky with the duct and picked it up for $80 from a friend who didnt need it anymore because he went K series. Its a functional piece for sure, but fitment is pretty shocking. And you need to hack up your bar to fit it.
You can still buy them new, but i think they run like ~200-250?
I want to try ad08, will probably do that for my next set of tires on the regas

Have you driven the 595 rs-r's in the rain? How are they? Loud? I need some new tires for my wheels, thinking about options. Grip would be nice and decent life.
the RSRs in the rain are awesome - tread pattern channels water really well compared with the XS, rt615 etc. Downside is that the tread pattern looks kinda gay. But thats cool, i prefer to drive on my tires rather than look at them haha. Didnt really find them that loud, but my car makes so many other noises I wouldnt really know
The grip levels the RSR produce in the dry is really impressive

Nah water doesnt really get in via the front. You need to be more worried if you are running an air filter down there without fender liners though, as the wheel will just pump water straight onto the filter.

Might have to get them, they are very affordable. Well it appears that way anyways. Anyone got good online places to buy tires? A quick google search I came up with onlinetires.com

i remember 2 of my friends had one (one was the FRP, other was CF).
fitment wasn't very good on both of those and the gaps were quite bad around the duct as a whole/hole (haha, get it? lol).
i've got my 3" AEM hybrid intake there with a filter and V-stack and though it would be nice to have...and it looks pretty badass too

Federal 595RSR Left, Nitto NT-05 Right
I will be 32 in 3 months so im right there with you guys LOL My wife is also a bit younger, by 7 years

I love my RT615 and never thought they did that bad in the rain when I got caught in it.....although I probably would not want to daily on them in Seattle. Great street tire and I will probably try the K version when the time comes.....but I would most likely run a different tire if I was going to be doing any autoX or track. Like others have sead if you beat on them they get greasy feeling. I have had pretty good luck with Falken tires on all my cars though.
