people talking bad about single cams are obviously not old enough to remember when thats all there was lol Single cams are great motors. If you just want a nice looking and nice handling car then a sohc is just fine. A good handling car does not have to have a ton of power to be a blast in the corners any way........look at how many fun/good handling cars their are out there with just over 100hp. I had a hatch with a Z6 and I really dont remember it being slow at all, had plenty of get up and go for a stock motor IMO.
Anyways who cares if some one has a single cam or a dohc? If its what they like its what they like.

Well bro your right ,single cams are good enough to enjoy .But the point people are making is ,if your commited to spend the money to make your car look like a jdm monster you might aswell throw a couple of bucks and at least throw a b16 or a b18 there it just completes the package if you know what i mean. But in the end of the day each person has their standards,so its all up 2 wat ur looking for in your car.
My car was built on a budget of about $5,500 including the price of the car, wheels, paint, suspension, interior everything. To spend $3,000+ on just the engine didn't make sense to me. It runs fine, gets good gas mileage, looks good, drives good and overall makes me happy when I get behind the wheel. That's all that really matters to me at this point in my life. Someday it WILL get a swap, but I've owned it 6 years with a SOHC, so I'm in no hurry at all.
The car that started this whole debate is sitting on the ground, is automatic, gets daily driven, and attends car shows. Other than that it's no "JDM Monster".

What's the consensus on the new Konig Roller? Is it **** in terms of quality? Is it too cheap of a 2pc knock off? I've been considering the RPF1 in 16"...but honestly, $1200 for new wheels/tires just makes me sad inside. The Roller seems to be a good alternative in terms of design and price.

my car is a jdm monster so it needs to be towed. not really but last year changed my outlook on towing too. i saw a couple cars go home on flatbeds and a few guys who were lucky enough to have trailers put their cars back on the trailer after their cars broke at the track.
first event i did this year was itr expo which was about 700 miles for me one way. besides having to drive that far in a car without hardly anything in the interior, bucket seat with head bolsters, and no muffler. i would have to unpack the whole car, swap pads/wheels, and set up camp etc. instead i towed it so i had to unload it then put the sideskirts and lip on then set up my ez up. plus i had the piece of mind that if something broke i could just roll it back up on the trailer.

That's why I trailer my car to the track. No matter how well a car is built. **** is bound to break when pushing your car to the limits.
i used the whole one bolt method last year and yes it worked fine. but i didnt want to take the chance of being on track then the motor going "limp". you could just drill out the p30 and save the money.
I'd almost rather take it out and repaint my interior than to pay 500 for new carpet and mats. My carpet isn't in the greatest condition, My mats are in okay condition. But I too will not be dropping 500 on new ish. Not like i'm building a show car here
