((((((((----EG Hatch Thread----PT 2 )))))))))
I see your car crew and raise you my car crew. It's a long story, but it's just a group of friends that hang out all the time. 78 BMW 320I, 93 MkIII Golf, 93 MkIII Jetta VR6, 92 MkIII vortech sc'd Golf, 90 G60 sc'd Corrado, my wife's TSX, an 04 Java Black STI, 02 Jetta 1.8T, 400WHP BMW 3 series, and a few other misc. cars. I gave up hanging out with Honda people for the most part for fear of my car getting stolen or someone trying to rob me....

Nice! lol we are not really a "crew" either just good friends from back in the day! Other cars are:
900hp 94 civic sedan,
Turbo H22 94 accord 750hp?? I think(this car was in H-T a couple months back) 3 other ITRs,
GSR integra
and 2 other EG's
I hear you on not hanging out with "honda people" all 5 of us in that picture went to middle/high school together so have been friends for 17+ years and the other cars we roll with I have know those guys for 7-10+ years.
We dont really welcome "outsiders"
Its just kinda cool that we stuck together all these years because of hondas

Its just kinda cool that we stuck together all these years because of hondasWe aren't a crew at all, just came about when a new crew came around in our city that called themselves "1% Motorsports". We thought it would be funny to name our "crew" "Whole Milk". 1% **** is to watery. Most of my old honda buddies either sold their cars and bought bikes, sold their cars and got subies, or their cars got stolen and they bought trucks or other non-hondas. Pretty sad really.....
Yea most of my friends have moved on from the whole scene we just hang out together. Hondas give us a reason to hang out in the garage and BBQ lol None of us daily our cars any more we all have something nice to drive because we are all married, have kids etc. We kinda got our name in a similar fashion.....GFI because my buddys brother said we were always doing some kind of "Ghetto Fabrication" and it just stuck......just kind of an inside joke lol mostly building turbo kits.
Here are a few of my friends "eg's" some are still around, some have been sold for other projects and they now have ITR's, S2000's other civics etc.
Since its the EG thread I will just keep it to 92-95 civics

It was cool to daily my hatch when I was 23 but now that im a grown up its a toy. Same as a dirt bike, snowmobile or boat and im not the only person on here that feels that way. Is it stupid to buy any of those things? They just sit in the garage 99% of the time too. I know you said "I enjoy my car everday of my life, its not a garage queen" Well I dont enjoy driving my hatch every day of my life. I can daily anything I want and I would not want to daily my 18 yr old hatch anyway lol I enjoy it on special occasions/weekends does that mean I should get rid of it?
im going to guess on a limb here, that is not an oe bracket. i tried an itr bracket..didnt work. then i put in an itr cable..didnt work. so i drilled two holes in the itr bracket..works perfect.
if someone that is friends with me on facebook could throw that picture on here it might help him.

wow that is G! Love it, anymore?
Theft and risk of driving on the streets in fear of a possible accident is more than enough to keep us from driving around daily. Its too much risk to put your car on the like everyday when theres not a whole lot of enjoyment from driving through shitty roads or sitting at a stoplight. If you can afford to drive something else for daily duties, then I think you can enjoy the Honda more because you take it out when you see fit and it can be prized more or viewed as "special".
I'll be keeping my car street legal for those weekend drives or to go somewhere every now and then during the week but the longer you don't drive the car, the more satisfaction you get when you do drive the car so being a garage queen isn't all bad actually.
I agree Seattle is super bad for theft besides, why would I beat the hell out of the car I love in the rain, rush hour traffic and city parking if I didnt have to? I love my car and im happy its sitting in a nice warm garage at home while my daily takes all the abuse. Its a fun toy and every one has a different idea of whats fun weither you drive it every day or not.
Now a trailer queen my car is not lol
on J speeds instead of the TE37

The 4 dr accord you speak of must be spikers aka big daddy cheeseburger lol. I remember his build log on homemadeturbo years ago.
To be honest, I'd just move it over one hole and use one bolt to hold it on. I did this on my h22 with pro series manifold and it worked just fine.
My car is a garage queen but used to be a daily for 3 years before I painted it. But I'm happy it's a garage queen, just makes me happy when i only drive it a few days a week and like someone said earlier makes it seem "special" when I do drive it. I was going to pick the girlfriend up and take it to dinner but looked on the radar and saw storms in the area, no driving it tonight I guess lol.
