My car alwas starts like a champ in the cold and idles fine but it gets a little finicky in hot weather. I get a fluctuating idle like when im over in Chelan and its 115 degees out
its fine under about 95 degrees lol thats on chrome

things in open air don't generally make a whole lotta vacuum. i was saying that since he doesn't have a manifold he can't run a stock ECU, which is pretty damn obvious. and i'm not familiar with the K series stuff, but i know that most people dont / cant use a stock tps with ITBs.personally i wouldn't run AEM b/c there are cheaper options available that do a just fine job for tuning; such as Hondata- though i have no experiance with a hondata car on ITBs im sure that it could be done. is an AEM cheaper than KPro? less people tune it, thats for sure. and i've heard nightmares about cold start issues.
Without a manifold he can't run any ECU. What ITB's run an aftermarket TPS? The ones I've seen and know of are using a Honda TPS on an adapter plate.
A used AEM is about the same price as a used KPro. The MSRP is much higher on the AEM but it does have its advantages. I'm looking forward to real-time tuning my steady-state map.

and if the MSRP is higher, doesn't that mean its more expensive if you were to buy them both new?
Sorry, but I feel like your post is full of contradictions.
You said he needs a manifold to run KPro. It's a broader statement that he needs a manifod to run ANY kind of management. For those lurking that don't know, a manifold isn't just for KPro, but for everything as long as you're running speed-density (a MAP based engien management).
If you read the second statement I referred to the USED prices where they are about the same. New, the AEM MSRP is higher. USED, they are about the same.
I'm sorry you thought my post was contradictory. I think if you re-read it again you'd see what I'm talking about. Maybe it's still too early in the morning. I need more coffee, too.

he ment if i was using a stock manifold i could use a stock ecu, since i have itb's it requires a standalone ecu!
and my TWM's come with there own tps!

No I didn't? I thought I made it pretty clear I was talking about a plenum manifold, a manifold that goes on the car, bolts onto the intake side... ya know?
And when you said MSRP you didn't mention used prices, so I guess you could be right there.
This is a pointless argument, the car needs to be tuned if it has ITBs, period. Even if the engine is internally bone stock, which was my initial response to someone asking if he was going to be running aftermarket engine management. Which should be kinda obvious, since he has ITBs. I quit, I've killed enough braincells today

Yeah, definite stand-alone with ITB's. Definitely needs tuned. But how did all this come about in a *show-off"* thread? Carry on everyone!
he tows a jet ski with it too lol
My teal EG thats my daily I do home depot runs in. You can fit 10 8ft 2X4's in it with the rear hatch closed hahaha I have also had 15 bags of beauty in it with the rear seats out.

Now that is what I call SSSSLLLLLLLLAAAAAMMMMMMEEEEDDDDD!!!!!!!!!!! I don't think I could ever do that to my car. I just like a smooth ride.
See now that color is nice!!! I wish I would've found one of those. I love that color. Instead I had to settle for my dad's teal green.
