I agree, but I've got a little turbo setup I'm putting together, so I'll probably have to run a half rad no matter what.... I'll probably upgrade to an all aluminum one that won't sit crooked though.

I spent 2 hours hammering the lower rad brackets with a hammer while my eg was motorless one night trying to get the radiator to sit straight. I never could get it right

 

I thought I was too. Wife got a better job and I got a little promotion, so we have some disposable income for the first time in 8 years... It won't be a tire burner 1000HP SFWD car, but I just want to make 220ish WHP on 6-8 pounds. I got a minty fresh 2nd Gen DSM turbo and elbow for $100 and am just piecing things together around that. Finding a manifold that isn't made out of used 4 loko cans is the hard part.

I've tried bending my lower rad brackets and cutting the little rubber mount and it always looks about a 1/2" off....

I might get a cast manifold for a T3/T4 and use one of these-

 

These things always are nickel dime kind of cars. I've spent so much money already on mine, and I could still blow $5000 in less than 30 minutes on this thing.

 

I've been down that route, it made the turbo sit too low and the return line was on a bad angle.

Why not a greddy manifold? Pretty those kits had a 16g or something along those lines

 

Damn, even if I ran a log manifold or a cast manifold that makes the turbo sit higher than normal?

Those Greddy manifolds are like gold.... I can't ever find anyone selling one separate from the other 200 pieces of random turbo junk I don't want. At least not for B-Series. I could find a bunch of SOHC manifolds for DSM turbos, but not for B-Series...

I'm going to end up ordering a cast CX Racing manifold and just get a block off plate for the external wastegate port. It's all going to be heat wrapped anyways, so I don't care if it's pretty or not.
