I have a question for you we recently did a H swap on a friends eg hatch motor runs fine but the car has a hard time goin in all the gears goin up (1st 3rd nd 5th they were thinking it's the trAns but I think it has something to do with the shift cables because when you go to put the car in 1st 3rd or 5th it doesn't feel like it goes all the way in nd will sometimes throw it out. Just thought I'd ask you since ur the H guru lol

 

He would probably make a lot more money selling the stickers at a decent price. I know I'm not buying a 100 dollar "sticker" that's rediculous.

Take some zip ties and tie the cables together in multiple locations.

They do by the shifter and the mechanism on the transmission. But sometimes the cables flex and tying them together will help with flexing.

Nope, it's not ridiculous. You're missing the point. He's raffling off his car. You're spending $100 to get a chance to win the car for .... $100. If you don't win, you have a sticker. It's gambling...you take a shot or your don't. Normally you just get a losing ticket to toss in the garbage. Now you have a sticker.

No I'm not missing anything I know how business works if the guy would have sold the tickets for say 10 only 800 people would have to buy the sticker and the car would be paid for (he said he has 8k in the car) then the rest is profit plus he gets his name out there. With fb, honda-tech, civic-eg, word of mouth and local forums he could have easily found 800 people with an extra 10 bucks in their wallet. Now he has to find 80 with 100 that they are willing to drop on it.

 

Truth. I can risk 100 at the casino, not in a raffle lol

 

Mathematically speaking: it's more of a risk in your $10 scenario than your $100 scenario. Think about it. . .
