((((((((----EG Hatch Thread----PT 2 )))))))))
I'm going to try a little heat tonight and see what happens. Worst case scenario the bolt breaks and I have to sell my soul and get a K20A2 swap or worse talk my wife in to letting me get a GSR longblock haha.
Took my torch, heated the bolt up until it was pretty damn hot, put a long breaker on it and I stood on the breaker and jumped up and down, NOTHING, didn't click didn't move a millimeter, nothing..... The motor is going in the car and I'm using the weight of the car to break it loose. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if my car just sits on the breaker and the bolt won't budge.
Question-
I have Integra upper and rear mounts and an Integra rear t-bracket that look like they will work perfect.
I've googled the issue and keep coming up with Avid mounts for sale, but not definitive answers on what brackets you have to run or part numbers.
The problem I am having is with the lower torque mounts. I have an Integra driver's side AC bracket and torque mount and a passenger side Integra transmission bracket and torque mount. Neither of those lower mounts line up with the holes on the "frame" rail. What brackets and mounts am I supposed to run? My old car had a full EG6 swap, so it came with the EG6 brackets and everything just bolted right in.
Should I have gotten B16 Del Sol stuff? This damn car is nickle and diming me to death.....

^I went to the junkyard and got both driver and pass side torque mounts off an integra...the passenger side lined up perfect and the driver side is off bout 1/4 in. Went back and got one from a del sol and it lined up perfect.
The actual rubber mounts I have are the stock ones off my Civic with the D15, so maybe the mount itself is different as far as where the bolt holes are located as well. Driver's side for Del Sol B16 or just a SOHC Del Sol?
I've heard you can, but also heard you shouldn't since there are cases of the driver's side bracket ripping off of the block. I'm sure it will be fine to drive until I get the right brackets and mounts though.
The latest. I got most of the stuff on the firewall done, just need to button up a few things on the motor and it should be ready to go in. I can not get the damn crank pulley bolt out to save my life. I've got a two foot long breaker bar, a jack handle over the breaker bar and stood on the bar all 160lbs of me and it won't break loose. I've tired air tools too and it won't budge.....
Get ahold of a larger air compresser, up the PSI, and a bad *** impact gun... no barbor freight Sh*t.
Had the same prob w/ the axle nut on my civic... 2 broken breaker bars later.
used my brother in-laws 90 gal compressor & I.R gun... /done.I've even asked a local repair shop to zap a difficult bolt off before since I do not own any pneumatic tools...
Don't even bother w/ leaverage on such a siezed bolt, end result will be either injury, damaged tools or rounded bolt.

It's not a matter of applying gradual energy. It's the sudden impact that will break it loose... Like already said, impact gun+high PSI will get it loose. Also, are you using the proper crank pulley tool?
I had a b18a1/gsr trans w/ both dc integra lower brackets and they lined up perfect with my stock torque mounts

I understand, just have never had this issue with my last two cars/motors. I have the flywheel jammed up with large bolts and the flywheel won't budge, that's for sure.
I have a feeling the people I bought my lower mounts from had mounts/brackets from different a different chassis and just didn't know or lied to get some money from me.... My buddy works in a machine shop so I think I'm going to have them fab me up some brackets out of plate steel and just run an adjustable heim joint bar from the front of the motor to the tow hook bolts on the driver's side. Something like this, but to the tow hook bolts instead of to a traction bar.
Edit- H-T is messing up pictures and adding them a second time as an attachment for some reason... Weird.
I like those wheels. I've been wondering what the new Spoon wheels would look like on an EG. Yellow or blue. It's the 17x7.5 that worries me a bit. I know it'll fit, but how would it look.
