((((((((----EG Hatch Thread----PT 2 )))))))))
i've got my eye on an '06 AP2.
and i don't really feel like spending anymore money to 'finish' the EG (ie: full paint and full bushing kit will cost me approx $5000CAD). that's too much for a car that won't get into a magazine in the end
hahah, but i've enjoyed it greatly as a daily.

hahah, but i've enjoyed it greatly as a daily.it's funny i been going back and forth about either parting out my car and financing a s2k, sti, or fit. i just came to the decision to just keep the car for a couple more years to pay off the debts and save. maybe i can keep the eg and have a new car later on... haha
however, if i bought an Evo 8 or 9 MR, i would be too tempted to build the snot out of it as power is too easy to make on those cars. at least the S2k is slow even with bolt ons and i don't plan on doing FI on the car

i'd love to finish the EG, it's just tough to justify keeping it and continue building it while having an S2k

in terms of speed, my EG is much faster than a stock Ap1 or Ap2 though and i'm sure i'll miss that once i sell my motor. but the S2k is a nice car as-is in my opinion.
lol. i did the same thing a few years ago. my gf.s stepdad got a dc5 type s in on a trade in. i drove it for like four days. fuuucking loved the car but said "i have x amount just in suspension..if i want the same quality suspension it will take me x amount of time to get it due to a car payment." so instead i bought a eh sedan off this older lady..first owner. sup.
Drove them both but not at the limit. i've driven my EG on track so i know what it can or can't do with the suspension set up i have...and i know it's tough to beat RWD handling.

i was wondering if anyone have or used a blackworks radiator? i had a mishimoto and loved it but i accidentally punctured it. are they the same as mishimoto?
Egezzy's location
Snapped this from last night, it's just a GSR with P30 pistons, so 11.5:1 cr. We're about to put it in the car right now. His car, hehe, not mine, I still have the B16A.

Thanks dood for the very kind words!
I know i'll miss the EG when i part it out but i kinda want a 'nice daily' driver car. i'm 30 now so i'm not young anymore
when i get an S2k, i can't justify keeping the EG the way it is, modding the S2k and having a motorbike ('08 GSXR 750) as well...and i only have garage space for 1 car

Im in love with that red hatch on volks.
I was wanting to get rid of my hatch and get a s2000 too but I think i'll keep it a little longer til I can save up and buy a used s2k out right. I doubt any bank will give a loan to someone whos self employed and paid cash.

Im in the same boat as you, im turning 30 this summer and I think its my last summer with my civic. I want an S2K really bad but cant justify keeping both so I will prob part out the civic and try to cash out a newer S2K. I have the same requirements of a daily driver too, I need to get up to the pass in the winter and also be cheap to drive on 87. I have dogs though so I ended up buying a 98 CRV for a daily and I actually really like it! good in the snow and averages close to 25mpg!

94 Octane Chevron is costing me $1.28/L CAD here in Vancouver...kinda sucks. the CR-V is a nice ride though. i thought about one before but couldn't find a cheap one in 5-spd here.
I've looked at so many S2k's in the past 2 weeks that i'm starting to get frustrated dealing with salesman and idiot, private sellers...

Yup, i don't like the idea of dipping into my line of credit for a used car and financing is not worth it IMO. buying outright is the way to go for used cars.
only thing i don't like about the S2k is the lack of space and the blind spots....makes my EG feel like an SUV!
yah dood, you know my pain! hahaha

I know about the S2K hunt too it gets frustrating lol I just gave up till this winter when I have a little more cash. We are also trying to find my g/f a lower miles 6spd TSX for a reasonable price and thats a biiotch too
If any one else out there has a 6spd TSX with under 50K miles for under $16K lmk! lol
I really wanted to find a 5spd CR-V too but I ended up looking at an auto that I just couldnt pass up. 1 owner car, it has higher miles about 200K but was towed behind an RV for most of those miles by the old couple I bought it from. The thing is pretty mint in and out and for $3K I couldn't pass it up.

and good luck with the TSX manual search dood. i worked at Acura as a parts advisor and i think i saw less than 3 of them ever come in for anything...it's like the 6 spd TL ('04+)...rare stuff for sure!
Prob one of the only hatches I have seen so far that I like on BBS mesh. I think its because most people try to pull the look off with racing seats, roll bars and crap when you know damn well there is no way the things going to any kind of track with the wheel setup they have. Red car just looks like a super nice street car! Love it.
