Nope, got a used one.

The only reason I considered distributor king is because every post i've made, on HT, G2IC, and Local Forums, I had someone ranting and raving about them

ummm... yea... the OEM ones are so nice... go call japan and get a JDM distro

ever seen a car that fries OEM distros like no other, put on a distro king and make 450whp... and continue to run for 10k miles, without a problem?

ignorance is bliss i guess

Ummmmm....Morasso has a stock B18A1. Does he have to go to Japan to get a USDM distributor?

Even if he did have a JDM engine, USDM coils and ignitors fit into JDM distributors. Ask me how I know...

Ignorance is bliss I guess

No, becuase anyone I know with a B-series engine making over 350whp uses an OEM distributor with an MSD external coil. I never called the quality of Distributor King into question; I merely stated that they aren't OEM and are not compatible with OEM distributor components.

I'm sorry we can't all be as UBER cool as you and have a DA that isn't daily drivable and has to use a non-OEM distributor. For most of us, INCLUDING Morasso (the reason Distributor King was brought up), we daily drive our cars, and not being able to use OEM Honda distributor parts would be a hassle.

I don't even know which distributors are better quality. I've never used a DK distributor...

I posted:

...and 92LSVTEC got defensive for some reason, like Morasso's situation applies to HIM, and he felt the need to get smart and tell us why HE doesn't use OEM distributors on his uber boosted engine.

Where have I been? 1st time to see this thread, DA's are my fav gen. Clean DC's with JDM front end is still sexbomb though. Now I have to spend hours sifting through the pages.

Nobody was calling the quality of DK distributors into question. They could be the best quality distributors in the world, but they do not share OEM components and you have to go through Distributor King for replacement parts.

It's only 3 hours away. Plus, you can't come to Texas without coming to Austin. I'll take you to 6th St and get you some p00n.

Or maybe I'll look you up when I go home to see my mom in LA. Weird. Youre my bizarro dude.

external coil FTW... OEM internals = lots o' blown parts... werent made to take the heat what i was stating is the fact, that hard driven hondas have a tendency to fry thier dizzys. (OEM anyways)

how is it a hassle to buy a dizzy, and put it on, at equal or lesser than the cost of OEM? i dont get it i guess

well, since i had a DA that was a daily for 3 years, and i got tired of being dubbed as a typical DA guy (m4d tyt3 tucK3d y0! ) and set out to prove to myself that a DA can be fast and not slammed out and people just saying, "whoa, your **** is clean y0!" ive been around clean cars my whole life... its not a compliment anymore... slam my hood, W/E you want... i dont give a expletive... i restored my car, 100% right, no roller, nothing, just hard work and all brand new OEM parts, straight from Acura. PPG primer, paint, clear coat, engine compartment, door jambs, everthing except interior... cuz i plan on putting every bit of it back in!

i thought why be like every other DA guy? expletive that, no offense, but there arent that many DA's in here that are different from the next guys. think so, show me exceptions!

so why not make one capable of ruunning in SFWD, thats still capable of being a DD? its possible... although a 2800 pound car? expletive stripping the interior... full interior FTMFW!!

it just makes me sick to think of all these people that rock DA's being such an insult to performance that people seem to take pride in... "Without the DA there would be no B-series or VTEC?" expletive, why not show it to its fullest potential, in the car it was destined for? right?

there are honestly 15 DA's in this thread that are owned by people like myself, that probaly got sick of being categorized by being slammed, tucked, or UBER JDM... my car is as USDM as it can get, minus JDM headlgihts. thats what i take most pride in.

Nice cheap shot, considering i've never bashed your car in my life, i've never even commented on your car.

You have a tendancy to troll around this thread with a "holier than thou" attitude just because you have a fast car. You post up what you're doing to you car and how its going to be fast as expletive, or whatever, and what for? To impress people on the internet.

At least I can honestly say with anything i've done to my car i've never worried about what a bunch of random kids on the internet are going to think.

Yeah my car was painted with a roller and I drive to work and school and wherever I need to go. It serves its purpose as i'm sure your car does, so what ******* difference does it make so long as i'm happy with it?

We shouldn't be bashing each others ****, it ***** up this thread.
