Still driving the Frontier as a daily but this Christmas was nice to me in the DA department.


- got carbon lined syncros for my YS-1 gsr tranny. will be building that in the next week. it'll be in my build thread. no pics yet but there will be soon.


- Picked up another auto DB1 in honey beige with urban brown interior for $450. Drove it to my shop and everything. I will be doing a manual swap and lowering it on something cheap. I want to daily it for a bit before I sell it.

So the other thing that happened is my pops bought my old horizon gray DA off the current owner and gave that to me as an xmas present. B20 with a GSR hydro transmission. Its hurting a bit though. I'm not sure what im going to do with this car yet.

Dammitman!! Congrats on the plethora of new aquisitions. Glad to see the DB1 in the stable. Not very many DB1's anymore. I am looking forward to the write-up. I need to rebuild my trans with a different 5th gear. Not too sure on how... I have the B20B and 5th gear at 70+ mph is scary at @ 4k RPM.

What you should do is just can all the cars and spend 100% of your time on the Bandit!! I live close to YearOne in GA and they have the Smokey and the Bandit tour every year. It's by far the best car show of the year for them. East Bound And Down baby!!!

Bandit car is my pops and that thing needs way too much work. Rusted everywhere. I'm already in way too deep on the project db1 to bail out now. I'm committed. Lol

 

Well then... I would never ask you to bail on the db1. That would just be plain rude. BUT... Some motivation should be inserted here

I will take it from you if you can't finish it, I can hold on to it until your ready that is a great thing, your dad must know your passion for the DA integra! I love that he did that for you, I wish you had all the money/time in the world to knock all of them out. when I hit the lottery you will be my full time mechanic, not working for work, but to build cars and enjoy them!

Dave, sadly I don't want to put time into it again. Have too much going on with the db1 as it is to give the da the attention it needs. I have a local close friend that would like to buy it off me to keep it in the family. We are working this out now.

 

I think he still lives in Glen Burnie or Annapolis. I haven't really talked to him in a few years.

 

How long have you been on them now? Did you do any other replacing while you were in there, like the syncro springs?

 

Yes! I saw that on facebook, I am getting married too I proposed to my girl on Christmas morning, I had a t-shirt that said " Allison Teat, that name has a nice ring to it, speaking of ring......." and on the back it said, " will you marry me?" she didn't even read the back, she barely got the shirt out of the box before she was balling her eyes out!

 

Yes I think Tim got away from the eastern shore, I don't know exactly where he is now, but I know he is in a band that's always playing around Annapolis.

Rob that is still cool that you got the teg back, now someone that will take care of it is going to get it, that is all that matters. I think I need to re-build my transmission too, it sounds like it is making noise, but I can't place it. it's weird.

I was at Chris Michaels' wedding in september. He, Gary and I had a moment where we sat there and said "Can you believe that we all know each other because of Tim K.?!" None of us have anything to do with him now, but we're still friends. Gary was best man and I was a groomsman.

Back in Louisville to pack and get the teg ready for the drive to La. It's been sitting for three months and the battery died plus the brake fluid leaked out. I also picked up a set of 92-93 gs wheels with two good tires for $25. They are painted white lol, i already bought some aircraft remover to strip the paint off and will do that this weekend.

 

How's the neighborhood and house going?
