So i'm new here guys so i thought i'd post up pic's of my DA. Sorry if they're not super great quality because all i have is my phone right now. It's a 93 ls with 203,000 miles on the body and a b18 with only 25,000 miles. I got it for 500 bucks and i love the thing to death, but it's super rough haha



Well after spending countless hours working on it fixing the messed up wiring, 500 bucks in new parts, getting it street legal, this happened last Friday.



Some lady driving a big lifted truck cut the corner too close and clipped my car while i was at work!!! She tore all the holes in the front clip, put a big hole in the bumper cover and bent the bumper brackets. Needless to say she said her husband would pay for all the expenses because he didn't want to deal with the insurance, i went and got estimates and he **** himself when i told him it'd be almost 3k to fix it up right. The car would get totaled if i went through insurance because it's valued less than the repair costs. So i managed to squeeze 500 bucks out of him (it's his deductible cost) and i'm going to repair it all myself. Needless to say i needed a new bumper cover anyways, and with the little extra cash i can get my fenders replaced because they're super dented.

I tried to hold my ground.. He screwed me over but at least i know i can fix it and actually make it better than before with the 500 i'm getting, i really didn't want to go through the insurance company and he was being a real *** when ever i'd try to get more than 500 hundred out of him. I told him 500 would cover the parts and shipping, that doesn't cover my labor could i get maybe 750 and he told me hell no, call his insurance company then. So i just took the 500 and walked.

I'm just happy i'll be able to get my car back on the road in a week or two, i'm doing on day 4 without my DA and i miss it lol

 

^next time.. call the cops. he wont have a choice. some old geezer rear ended me and took off. i chased his *** down and threatened to call the cops. he offered me 1000 bucks cash. went to his bank and he took out 1000 cash. i was happy..

 

I would have pressed for more but it was my managers wife who hit me so i had to deal with my manager and i didn't want to risk my job or anything. Anyways i got paid for it on Friday and today i sold my other car (1991 Taurus) for 1500 bucks!! I'm thinking about getting a Tanabe exhaust and maybe some rims, but i'm not sure about those, im thinking rota's i'm open to opinions on rims

It's a 99 civic sedan. I've never liked hatches. They look awkward to me. I prefer coupes and sedans.



I do have a built b17 going in it though.

 

We should all laugh at the cheap A$$ Ebay intake I bought that was not even close to being correct. I made it work tho. If at first you don't succeed... cut that **** and make it work.





I think it turned out alright in the end.

Yes that is actually my car.

I got a steal at $200 for the B17. All it had were some bad LMAs.

I've replaced everything with brand new OEM or better parts. Pr3 pistons for 10.8ish compression. Will be better than a brand new b17 when it's done.

I love the sounds of the Tanabe systems i've listened to so far!!! I'm just hoping it won't be super over the top loud, and i was looking for a style of wheel along the lines Rota Grid style rim, but i'm open to other makes that are similar

Finally got all of my parts and got my bumper put back on the car It needs an alignment really bad from her pulling it sideways after she caught the bumper but besides that it's running great, another plus side, i actually started bondo too. Feels good to be making progress finally

 

Got my new pet snail today!!! It's name is Gary >=] It's a Garrett t3 50 trim .63 ar hotside with agp housings. I can't wait to get this thing on my car! =] I love it
