First make sure you verify exactly what the transmission is

It's most likely going to grind if it isn't already and the LSD might not work to its full potential. As of now, I would just start rebuilding transmissions especially if you plan on beating on them.

You can't expect a $350 short geared trans to be worth anything but parts essentially. You can find some that are good, but they're going to be in the minority. I'm with Matt when it comes to transmissions. I'd buy the cheapest one you can find then rebuild it. Or buy a good condition newer hydro trans and swap those guts into a YS1 case. I just know WAY too many people who have been ran through trans after trans after trans hunting for one in good condition and still ended up with nothing to show for it in the end. I say save up the big bucks and do it right the first time.

I'm with everyone else. $350 is decent though if all it needs is syncros.

You'll get differing opinions, but the correct way to fix grinds like that is with whole gearsets, not synchro sets. I know a set of synchros is cheaper, and for the 89-91 transmissions it's often the only option, but Honda designed the transmission such that the entire gear set is supposed to be replaced when the synchros are worn out. OEM gear sets (2nd, 3rd, 5, & Reverse) retail for nearly $1000 for all 3 (obviously can be had slightly cheaper thru acuraautomotiveparts.org). And that's just gearsets, not including any bearings or other small parts which may need to be replaced. That's why when you add up the total cost to rebuild a YS1 it may not be your best option. Especially when you can buy something like THIS along with a YS1 case and just put them together. Yeah, it's a little more $$, but you get a BRAND NEW trans plus a limited slip diff, which if you were gonna buy separately would be another $300-$400. (and from someone who's car spends most of it's time on the track - an LSD is a must have item)

I was messing around in photoshop. Figured i'd post it for the hell of it. This was taken about a month ago. Nothing has changed to the looks of it, but I did fix my exhaust leak today. Turns out it was just a gasket. I was so glad it wasn't in my rsr =] I hit a bump a few weeks ago and I guess it broke the gasket some how

Those expected new numbers will be on Q16?
I'd get a Victor X or something comparable over the Skunk2 manifold. Will help with that larger turbo.

He has 2 legs. It's just that he wasn't born with the bottom part of one of them.

I'm gonna tell Angell that someone though he had one arm. Hilarious.
