There's a lot of things that have to met in order for VTEC to work. Check everything related and make sure everything is good then try VTEC again.

perrmance i can see, but novelty....eh. Its funny you say that, i had a guy locally trying to trade me a full k24 swap (as full as it can be i guess) for some crap i had but i just couldnt bring myself to do it. I'm personally not a huge fan of the k series i would like to see more k series swaps in our car. Seems that if you want power out of the box this is the way to go. After the last two cars im good on going fast. Just want something fun and clean to build and drive. Maybe once you are really established ill TRY talking you into taking that daily apart and doing this swap although i think it would be sweeter in a 4 door.

nothing will ever come of my beater DA. I'll look for a four door to put it in. I've been wanting to build a car that would be comparable to something like an EVO or STi. Just FWD, and All motor. But a quick, well handling, daily drivable, functional sedan. I think a DB1 would be a good canvas for that.

no problem. to troubleshoot something all you really need to do is understand how it works.

I actually like it that I'm one of a few local DA guys. It's getting more rare which is nice. I can think of about 5 clean DA's in my area. The rest are rusted out beaters.

I hate driving my civic as a DD. Every goofball out there has one. Plus it's quality in and out is much less. Got to give it up to my almost 20 year old car lol. Just give it a couple more hours till 2011. Happy New Year fellow DA members!
