haha.. nice! haven't notice that username..my bad..
@ 1200 Hobos - what exhaust pipes are you using right now? planning to run at auto slalom this May in here, was wondering if they allow modified exhaust pipes on ST class..

I'm using custom exhaust piping from a muffler shop cat-back to a magnaflow oval, just a crush bent deal. I'll be in ST as long as I use 140 or higher tread wear tires and keep the stock cat in place. Suspension is ok too for ST.
nice.. thanks for the info, that's exactly I'm planning to do with mine.. installed my coilover sleeves this afternoon(can't afford full suspension yet) and if you don't mind me asking what tires are you using and specs? stock B18a1 still?
well the car will be down for a while, have to send the manifold back to peak boost and then wait for a new one. I was going to build the motor at the same time, but we had to drop 6500 on a new furnace and a/c unit. I am happy I have heat and a/c now, but I want to make my car faster!
nice, how'd you get the account back? or was it just a temp. banned?
I'm using 195/60/14 Michelin Pilot Exalto A/S. 400 UTQG Tread Wear ratings FTW. LOL these tires will probably outlast my car if I granny drive it.

like those tips too.. looks very similar to the mugen's but a way cheaper...
oh yeah btw i got my car back, looks good, the rear bumper is a little different in color because the original paint is maaco and the rear bumper was painted by a real shop, but its all good, better than a ****ed up bumper
oh i see still stock tire specs, I've always knew that stock tire specs will be fine now I'm convinced.. and about the tread wear rating I'm still confuse about that, is higher tread wear rating grips more or lower treadwear?

From the pictures I can barely make them out but they look Hex to me. If they are then the right size metric socket should do it. There's also bolts that look like stars, instead of 5 or 6 sides they're many-sided and pointy. You'll need a special tool for those.
There you go, 12 point. LOL, many-sided and pointy... I was close. I was thinking Torx screw drivers...
I can't believe they're a standard size though, really? 5/16ths on a JDM wheel... Interesting.

Although if you convert 5/16" to metric it equals 7.9mm. Sounds more likely that they are 12pt 8mm bolts, not 5/16". But I don't have any personal experience w/ the MR5's, so I can't say for sure.
I know that my Volks are 8 mm 12 pt . I don't think that has much significance, but that's all I can offer. Also, I didn't heat or cool them when assembling or disassembling. I just used lots of penetrating oil.
i know but i wasnt addressing the fact about the mr5's being old school or anything about da's
i just posted my opinion
dont see why he got all offensive about it just cause i dont like em... who gives a terd.
sorry guys, i wasnt trying to bash em... i DO love old school.. and i respect everything that mugen or anyone else does..
doesnt mean i have to like how some things look

well i didnt get a chance to paint my wheels today because i didnt have the 12 point socket to remove the bolts (or a key to my wheel locks
) But i did get to put on the mud flaps, hood bra, and clean up the lips on the wheels a bit. Heres how it looks now thanks to Tony and the guys at Angkor Collision
