$700. I thought it was a good deal but i had to drive far for it. I am actually not going to dd this once the motor and blower is on. i have a truck and the h2b i daily drive so this will get painted pretty and kept safe during the week.

Gonna sit like my last DA and look good in the driveway.

Hey kid, best of luck with the valvecover shave. Doesn't look to bad as it's fairly flat for the letters. I just finished my valve cover shave. "mugen" valvecover is as smooth as a baby's bottom! haha

For those of you thinking I ruined a real mugen valvecover, maybe I did, maybe I didn't...

I'll post some pics up of my DA and build next time I'm at my shop and snap a few.

Nobody said I did

Either way why would you feel sorry? Because I have expendable income?

I'm pretty sure it was fake for the price I paid. Nice and smooth now so too late if it was.....................

how do you plan on fitting the S/C in the engine bay, rob? isn't there serious clearance issues with the firewalls and master cylinders on DAs?

yeah there's a few factors on the hood prop deal. 1. depends on whose mount kit you use. some place the engine higher, some lower. 2. the intake manifold is the biggest clearance issue on them i believe. im not 100% sure, but i think the skunk2 manifold sits lower

i was kinda wondering about clearance issues with the super charger as well

Not at all, good for you if you have money to blow!

Just sorry that you would choose to spend several hundred dollars on a glorified oil dam, LoL!

I thought so too however I have seen a few DA's with the Vortech kit, which is even larger. Guess they fabbed up some parts to make it work. Always wanted to run that setup but never did because of those issues you mentioned.

yeah the supercharger is going on a bone stock gsr. Not expecting anything super but maybe somewhere around 220 to 240 at the wheels. There is a serious clearance issue with the master cylinder for the da but i plan on doing some kind of brake tuck and put the cylinder reversed in the cab of the car.

This is my h2b

the only clearance is the throttle body. You can cut out part of the skeleton in the hood and it will close for the eg but i haven't got around to that yet.

The qsd kit comes with a regular flywheel and a spacer. The evo kit (the one i have) comes with a specially made thick flywheel that you have to get from them. They are not priced crazy but the company just stopped making the kit so i don't know about quantity anymore.

everyone uses the vortech 99-00 SI b16 kit. All you need different is the Em1 powersteering pump to use the kit. One dude back on G2IC made 240+ on a stock B17.
with the aftercooler and CRV crank pulley, of course.

i cant see the vids from my work but was the 14.2 on slicks or street tires? if it was their first time at the track, they'll definently be able to get that into 13's, if they were on street tires, mid 13's with some practice

well a centrifugal s/c wouldn't have any firewall issues. that's why u see some in DAs. But the roots style charger is back near the master cylinder and firewall.
