You just can't get caught slippin'. I used to park my DA on the street in L.A. when I had it but I always had layers of security. I used an uncommon quick release, an AutoLock, and could easily take out my ECU.
None of these are 100% by any means, but the combination of the three make it so you either have to be towed, or someone really studied your **** to overcome all three at once.
To steal my DA, you would've had to have either a steering wheel and allen wrenches to take off the quick release, a tool to remove the AutoLock, and an OBD1 ECU on hand.
Or a tow truck...
Or a gun to my head...

quick question, the clutch cable was bad on my (92)db1 so i pulled the one off my parts (90)da and when i installed it onto the pedals there was no slack in it to adjust it. are the cables different legnths?
as far as i know they should be the same, but i never worked on the 4 door so i dont know for sure. but doesnt make any sense that they'd be different. can you adjust the pedal itself any?
