Hey so I just stumble upon this thread. There's a good atmosphere in here (beside some disagreement). I feel this thread is meaningful to the people who dedicated the work into their car(s) rather it's modding, or the extra step to revive it. I got my share too, a work in progress but course it will always be incomplete.

First day i bought it, car was stolen and the guy sold it for $800 body is good. He had no knowledge of car so he felt that I jipped him when use my house key start the car(ignition switch was revealing). Tarp is because there is no window.



The rear brakes gave out so I know what must be done.I cleaned those paint up already btw.


Then I lowered it and it's still the same today. I got laid off so no income to fund the project/daily.


This is really the first thread that I really take part of, so I'll try not to offend anyone.

 

teinzien: Thats nice that you picked up a stolen car bro! The owner gave up on it and you saw an opportunity! Car looks pretty good from what i can see. What plans do you have for it? I completely understand not being able to work on your car because of unemployment and no funds because i was just on the same boat! I JUST got hired like 2 days ago. waiting on my drug test to clear so i can start working!

As for everyone else. Im starting to see people liking #2 and a lot of people already like #1. Lets get a few more counts in and we'll go from there!

 

I would like to become a part of this group also. I dont have pictures on my work computer, I also dont have pitures before I put the wheels on. I am doing a J swap in a ej1, I just got k sport full coilovers, rota group n, and i am also working on a shaved engine bay/wire tuck. I'll post pictures when I get home tonight.

O thanks, my initial plan was to put in a B-series and call it a day. Course that won't happen even after it happen lol. Exterior, need paint badly. Gonna go for oem lip,wheels,and fogs(only because someone already cut holes and put fugly ones in there). My interior is decent, just not the upholstery ie:carpets and seat. However I have started on something a little small, just not what I really like so I'm change it out. Just to clear the air, I know I have listed some things I need, but don't pm me about it because I will have to turn you down unless it's free. Haha and last here is my little interior project that I was talking about.

 

looks nice bro. I personally would of went with a different design but to each his own! Keep us updated! I also said the same thing too. drop in the b20vtec with some suspension and nice wheels and call it day. That didnt happen. First it was suspension, then wheels, then b20vtec, Then turbo! STILL NOT DONE! i wanna build a motor for boost and upgrade turbo! never ending yo!

 

yea I thought it would be nice, but it's not what i really want too haha. I'm redo it and nothing like experience from the first time and smoothly finish it the second time around(yea right). I only did the passenger seat and stopped there to kinda try to find the materials that I really want.

 

So some progress, got the y8 running, but now my tranny is taking a s%$t. Anybody experience your transmission not wanting to go into gear? It feels like there's something blocking it, I have to pund it in to every gear, I checked and there's fluid, and it is or atleast I think a good tranny out of a 95 si. Any suggestions? Oh on the fonts, I like #2, even if I'm not part of the crew... yet??? thanx ahead of time for any input fellas...

 

Did u remove the shift linkage? That happened to me when I put on a short shifter and I slide the bushing on wrong onto the shifter. Had to take it off and do it all over again. Just a thought.

Good idea tienzien.Yeah I've completely removed the linkage, since I do have a short *** shifter, checked all my nuts to make sure they were right, checked the fluid again, everything looks right but it still sticks, I'm hoping I don't need a new tranny or a new clutch someone said I should bleed my clutch since I just got a new clutch MC and there still might be air in the line so no pressure to my clutch? Sounds reasonable ill do that before I drop the tranny. Anybody around the IE slanging a single cam tran?? Lol

lude72 I tried bleeding it, but I figured it out, I replaced the master but not the slave and its the soruce of my pressure-less clutch . Thankfully my buddy was at the junkyard while I was at work and pickedd me one up. Thanx for the input though. This y8 pulls way harder than my frank-d *** y5 block with z6 head!!! Lovin it, next is my paint, 200 bux for my buddy to do body work and 2 stage white or silver?? Suggestions?? I like ivory, or even a clean electric blue... then my stage 3 clutch and lighten flywheel and pulley. Once again ill try posting pics tomorrow after work fellas, 91sedan_kid glad to hear you got work man, hard nowadays, I'm grilling at chipotle in mira loma man... $ is $ ya dig
