BUILT NOT BOUGHT!
I just did too. So what about those pre-built turbos everyone is getting? Crap or decent for the price? Fixed my clutch, the rain from yesterday washed my car, but ill post some pics tonight. Does anybody have experience with an aftermarket crank pulley? Does it really lighten **** up? I know it looks nicer than the stock one, especially since I have no a/c p/s.
Did it bolt on or was there cutting and bending to do? And thank for the comment, yeah i have to get some new rims. Ill be lowering this Bish in the summer.
Here is a link to a ebay turbo that has pretty much everything you need.
That kit just needs dumptube, fuel pump, fuel injector, boost gauge, half size radiator

I was looking at this one on ebay...

Low is the way to go, das look hard when they're dropped, actually any car does really. I think most of those ebay style turbos bolt up with no mods to not many needed. I think I'll go NA for a while though, not a snail hater but pushing it til it breaks would suck on my budget...
If you plan on piecing it together, I recommend getting the turbo first. From there you can figure what size flange you have to pair it up with the right manifold. Course it's just an advice. Very clean paint 91_ls. And last got me a sway bar. LCA on its way.
Edit: Wow I'm late, didn't refresh the page. Excuse me.

lol and i though i was the only one who kept tabs on my car. Except mines has dates too
It really depends on what you wanna do. If you just want to experiment and not spend to much money then an ebay kit is fine. If you plan on going ***** out then yea do it once do it right the first time.

I have the date I bought the car and it will be 2yrs this upcoming May. I have everything noted for parts and what not. The ebay kit is going to fail it's just a matter of time. Yes some people get lucky with them but the + vs - isn't enough to get my vote. You can pick up a decent used kit on H-T with good parts for 1,000-1,500

Do it right the first time so you don't have to do it a second time. A good efficient setup with quality parts will run around 3-4g. That's from no boost to completely tuned with upgrades like 3" exhaust, stage 5 clutch, injectors and fuel pump. I keep a detailed list of every penny spent on my car. Here is what I have invested in boosting my car. This includes great deals on certain parts and some new stuff. Also a friend and I did all the fab work like building the exhaust and charge pipes. There is about $500 worth of stuff someone could leave out. Wideband-catch can-boost controller-2nd muffler

I agree with the fact of doing things the right way. My point was simply that if you know where to look and know what to look for,you can get a good quality kit without spending a **** amount of cash. Buying an OEM turbo from a junk yard is IMO,a good way to save money. IMO,a OEM turbo off another car is just like buying a 500+ one from a site that is way overly priced. And IMO,buying an Ebay turbo is not all that bad. Just because its from Ebay don't make it a bad part, its the seller you need to research as Ebay is only a site that people go on to sell things, just like craigslist and all the other site you go on to buy things. Just my 2.
