i went from a b20v turbo to a d16z6 and man i just couldnt take it anymore even turbo'd the thing and i wasnt happy. Now im LSV Turbo and im only at 4 psi and i love it. Gonna turn it up to 8 tomorrow.

 

turn it up to 8? didnt you see what happened when i went from 13 to 15 without a retune? that hole in my block ?

The motor is tune for 10 psi. JT said that when he was taking parts off the car, before we pulled the motor, he touched the boost controller and i guess it got turned down.

what do you mean it seems like the trans takes a bit to catch up? what you're saying to me sounds like when you hit the gas, your car hesitates before it takes off, no? that really wouldn't be the transmission i dont think. however, a shorter gear transmission (like the ones i mentioned last night), would help. but to me, it sounds like it could be 1. lose throttle cable 2. timing is off (on the belt) or 3. timing is off on the distributor. have someone who knows what they are doing with timing check over all that. can really make a big difference if your timing is off.

yeah, i still have NOOOOO clue where all that is! lol. what BIG area is it around?

 

Well sometimes the car picks up fast, other times it doesn't it feels like it lags, I can feel it kicking into gears to.

And Idk any big areas I know Pittsburgh is about half hour away.

I'm guessing automatic, the way she describes it. Regardless automatics are gonna be slower than manuals.Unless you have a double clutch semi automatic transmission.

 

Its an auto right now until I do a conversion in the spring.

so yeah, that def changes things since its auto. honestly, dont even waste your time putting another auto tranny back in. just wait until you do the 5 speed conversion and then get one of the trannys i mentioned. and quit trying to race with an automatic. it just dosnt work too well lol

 

I cant resist temptation when I have some jackass kid next to me revving his engine at a light and Yes, I have beat a few ppl

 

i see no point trying to race in an auto. only the risk of speed contest/speeding etc..take it easy out there.

 

 

I don't do it alot. To many ahole cops around here, I just paid off my tickets.

 

im consider on taking my AC out for the winter in cali .... and just lighten my car til summer.
