I figure its easier, plus if I can fix something myself, why pay someone else to do it? I have friends who help but anymore its like pulling teeth to get anyone to come help me.

 

I understand, same here. All I can tell ya is learn like I did. Just get your hands dirty, and figure it out. I tought myself when I was 17 and now I'm a Honda master tech at the age of 25. You can only screw up so much. I hate doing stuff on others peoples time. Most of my friends are acholics so thats there problem. They rather stay home and drink or go out and party.

 

What I need is a good book that breaks everything down more than the ones in the store.

 

I took the entire system out of my 86, and everything together was more then a little weight, it came to almost 120 pounds, it had been non functional for years anyway, those keihin compressors like to fail all the time, 400 dollars for a new one with a 30 day warranty, and they aren't even compatible with 134a, there is supposed to be a different brand compressor available, but I've never seen the setup at the yard, I would have needed the compressor, different receiver dryer, different brackets, hoses etc to do a " bolt in" factory swap.
It wasn't worth the time or money. I have two windows and hatch side vent windows that open

 

theres a girl in one of my auto classes that has a purple DA, i overheard her bitching about how no one has the same kinda car she has and we got to talkin and i told her i would gladly lend a hand in helping getting it running a little better if i had some free time **working plus full time school on top of having a "project" daily is laaame** if only she weighed like 100 pounds less and was some what attractive hahaha

sorry for the ramble.. i guess my point would be more girls need to work on their whips instead of expecting their man to get all greasy and fix it.. haha
