Yes it is, but if you use just the head and block and use all your OBD0 stuff, you'll be fine. I.E. Intake mani, header, alternator, all that good shtuff.

Is the bolt pattern the same? And if you can, throw your B2 starter on your Y7. That will help out and save me some cash.

 

i think the only main difference between the 2 motors is the flywheel. starters and everything are pretty much interchangeable. Clutches on the other hand are a different story.

 

well besides the 4sp and 5spd clutch alighment tools are diff spline count is diff....found that out the hard way haha

Im glad you shared that information lol. I got a STD hatch im building and the clutch is almost brand new but its mated to the 4-speed tranny. good thing i got a pretty new 5-speed clutch to mate to my si trans.

 

yea went a gought a 4speed tool wouldnt fit took it back got one for a 88 crx si trans fit like a glove

Z6 and turbo always go together. I saw a built Y7 on my local forum for 1800. Making 305whp NA. 400whp with a .64 trim turbo on 30 some odd psi.

 

yea im building a z6 bottom end with y8 head and intake manny srp pistons eagal rods turbonetics t3/t4 turbo with other odds an ends shooting for 400hp

 

305whp N/A? Uhhhh....Sorry don't think so. I can only think of a few Honda's with build single cam N/A and most of them wont even dream of TOUCHING 300whp. On the other hand, if you talk to Bisimoto they can do it, as their F22 put's out damn near 450whp all motor. I know, sounds like I'm lying, but go look

 

Just an FYI if you have an MFactory LSD, you don't have a DX trans. DX trans is 35mm diff. The MFactory 35mm LSD hasn't been released yet. There is only one in existence and I know who has it as I sent it to him. Check the trans by the fill plug. 3000/6000/9000 = 40mm = Si or ZC.
