what compression pistons are they and what kind of cam shaft are you going to use?

 

Amen to that! I need to fix a dent on the hood of my ek and primer it but i cant cause we live waterworks usa.

I would love to see pictures and dyno charts for this setup lol. i can believe 305whp with the motor really built and boosted but not N/A.

not quite sure yet i bought all the stuff from my buddy he says the y8 head and intake manny is the way to go casue they flow so much air and stuff ill check on the pistons

The Y8 is the best flowing D-series head, and the Intake Manifold is the Best D-series they offer as well. Get back to me on the rest of the parts and build.

 

Y8 isn't the best flowing. The only thing desirable about it is the quench pads. Though you can mill a Z6 head so it has quench pads and ends up being a lot smaller than the Y8 chamber. A6 head can get pretty close as well.

 

So which one is the Best head for a D-Series? it sounds like the Z6 you have to mill, so thats not the best, A6 are close, but not there yet.

z6, 92k on it, runs like a champ. Bone stock. All Ive added since that picture was an SRI. Painting the vavle cover today, shes also becoming my autoX car.

Wouldn't air flow be based off the amount of air to be dumped in it? So do you have the perimeter if both?
