isnt the d16a a 88-89 integra motor also known as a dohc zc?

 

Yes, but the driverside motor mount is different! so you cant just take a d16a from an 88-89 integra and swap into another D series chassis.

250,000 miles with the last 3,000 on the bottle isnt helpin,
it was great the other day it smoked so bad nobody would get behind me in traffic..
lol actually it was embarrising, idk why but sometimes it doesnt even smoke that much,
and incase anbody cares im at the library and theres a chick sitting across from me showin a ton of clevage, i was gonna leave but i think ill stay a lil longer!

On the pic it did say ZC but it was a SOHC. It was on Ebay from Japan General Motors Inc.

 

Dont buy from an unknown engine re-seller. what kind of car are you trying to put this into?

The ZC came in obd0 and obd1, the single cam is roughly 115hp and NON vtec. The dual cam ZC is hard to come by, well the parts are hard to come by.

 

i know all about that. the other pain is that you kinda use both B series and D series parts.
when i was building mine i used theZCR.com forum there not a ton of after market support but there are good parts if you can find them.

 

pull the bulb lol, seriously. unless your abs module went out or is unplugged, easier to just pull the bulb.

I would just look around for a d16y8 swap direct bolt in obd2 and you can find them for pretty cheap.

 

 

come u guys....anything....i tried the checking the codes with the paperclip n the c/e light just stays on n when i take it off it comes off.....should i post pictures of the way i hooked up the hoses maybe u guys will b able to katch something,any ideas let me know so ican try em

 

if your burning what ever i would check your head gaskit or do a comp. check. if its a 97 then its obd2 and if you converted to obd1 then you need to look at what wires you need to jump to flash cel codes.

 

i know this is a dumb wuestion but will the obd 2 scanner still work,n if its the head gasket shouldnt i just return it n get my money back cus i got the engine for 450 n doesnt a head gasket cost like100 bux,n if its jdm with low milage shouldnt the gasket be good....i think that f0o jipped my *** oh n one more thing i took out my sparkplugs just to check em n they where brand new before starting the motor n after all the smoke i took em out and they had oil on em(all of em) n the manifold looks like it has a bit of oil by the throtle body,well a bit on the throttle plate

 

naw bro well i found the cluster you want he wants like 150 for it. he is supposed to be getting a new shipment sometime soon. im gonna go there and look for a coilover setup see if i can find anything. let me know if you want me too look for anything specific

last time i was there i was itching to buy his skyline loll he has a 92 silver R32 caged, tuned, white Enkei rims with 110Km he said 8 for me registered and on the road. lol tempting but i like my fuel efficient SOHC
