I am not 100% sure But i think you would need to use the Z6 oil pickup to use the Z6 oilpan on the Y8.

The Y8 uses a aluminum pan Z6 is metal. I dont know why he wants to swap pans for, just trying to help.

I dont know if it helps, but the y7 pan works on a y8. The y7 is steel and as someone said, the y8 is aluminum. I switched because I had a steel bung for the oil drain line, plus i hear welding steel is easier than aluminum. I still have another y7 pan.

Does anyone have tips for replacing the hood latch cable? My handle broke on it, so just wondering if anyone had any pointers.

the handle comes off of the cable. i've taken them out at the junkyard before. we needed the cable, so we just took the cable. is that the handle you guys are talking about? there's a slot on the back similar to the half moon on the throttle body, and the cable for the hood is also similar in design to the throttle cable. only goes in one way and is locked into position sorta. if you take yours apart you will see what i'm talking about.

give me that hideous wing on the back of your car lol. You should cut the sides off somehow and try to mold it to look like a chargespeed wing. Ive been looking for a wing like that. Do you know the name or brand of it?
