that is true, i think the only way you can bypass this problem is if you get a z6 cam or use the y8 timing belt. Ive read countless mini me swap threads and this is an important factor. im not sure if you have to change the crank pulley but i will check. I too am going to start my mini me soon so ill let you guys know how that goes.

sweet, my plans are to put my b18 into my ef hatch and im gonna try to find an eg to put the mini me swap in. Im gonna try to make it mildly built. i already have a y8 head, y7 block, p29 (dohc zc) pistons, z6 intake mani but will probably step it up to y8 intake mani shortly after. Delta stage 2 vtec cam, adjustable cam gear, and some other things are on my list. But first i gotta work on my ls motor. ive had almost the same mini me setup in my old ej1 coupe and that car was pretty quick.

 

Yeah i was going to make my own spoler that goes over the oem spoiler with aluminum.

UPDATE:
well wire tuck is complete, then gonna pressure wash the motor and engine bay,then gonna install valve spring and retainers from supertec and a comp gear racing cam, Skunk2 TB and Skun2 IM, waiting on the GSR rear disk brakes to get here. and gonna relocate the battary to the rear, once i get pic from the shop i'll post them up but word is she is coming along and will be ready for my homecoming can't wait.

still need to order my OEM mud flaps and window visiors or the doors and rear window. then its off to paint hopefully.

Well i'm currently deployed, but i came home for christmas and started the tuck but ran out of time, only had to 2 weeks with the fam so i just took the car over to my boy shop and he's doin the rest for . If i do get it repainted i'll go wit Night hawk black but wit out the blue pearl.

I wanted to polish them but it was way to much time and i still needed to strip the powder coating off them. Still i shouldnt have sold them i know ima hate myself for it later.

 

i could do just the block its for my friend he is building one nasty single cam turbo and has the y8 head but his bearing went bad in his y7 and the crank is ****ed to hell now, so he wants to build a y8 and needs a starting block, if you have internals to it will be nice but he will prolly settle for a block
