does any body have any tips on how to mate a tranny to a block that is still in the engine bay? I just spent about 24 hours replacing a clutch in a 3 day period and i thought it was pretty rediculous putting the tranny back in. Its not as easy it should be. Especially in an Ef hatch.

a lift or jack plus greasing the input shaft and lots of patients...ive done them four or five times they start to get more repeditive with each one.
loosen all the mounts let the motor tilt just about as much as it can grease the input shaft try not to hit the clutch at all with the shaft if it doesnt slide in try turning the crankshaft pulley while the tranny is still some what lined up..have a bolt ready to thread in once it in.. and they are light enough to lift the tranny with your arms and hold it in place..i usually take the starter off so i have a decent place to grab

here's where I've been.
Non OEM dust boot (finally made sense why it was different from my 97) which had a metal piece inside the rubber boot. Cliff notes? Metal sleeve (which is same size as sleeve jams itself over said sleeve leaving it impossible to adjust) PICS!

You can see here how the metal part of the boot is bent outward from the sleeve

What do you do when you cant find your mechanics gloves? Improvise! M4d tyt3 JDM garden gloves yo

PROFIT! I never have it this high so i dont care
