well the bottom end im sending to a guy i know at a machine shop that needs to be cleaned up and everything balanced and all that good stuff so yea the botom end he is doing everything else me and my buddy are doing besides tuning the wiring lol well thats gonna be a trial and error job the biggest problems are gonna be finding a complete vtec head in good condition plus i still need the ecu and jumper harness plus the vtec oil line kit a vtec water and oil pump and so on and so on

hey i remember seeing a few people posting there homemade lips and i was just wondering if anyone wants to pop those bad boys up again i want a fatter lip because i think my car looks funny maybe its just me i feel as if my front bumper is higher then my sides ionno maybe my asian eyes are getting to me.

on another note started polishing my extra VC for some extra cash selling it for 60 bucks plus a mint b16 VC

hitting it up with 320,600,800,1000,2000 grit also gonna be pickin up some fat fives for my DB and gonna start polishing them out

yea i have a 91 i would stay obd0 if i was able to tune obd0 but seems like everything has to be obd1 but if u can hold on to the dizzy and ecu i have to see if i can find a b16 head

 

ok this is what i found so far i found a b16 head with a type r i/m and tb for 600 bucks i can get oldskool's dizzy and ecu for a good price i hope lol i have to get p30 pistons arp rod bolts head studs new oem bearings and new main seals and everything else to rebuild my bottom end plus all new gaskets ok is there anything else i need to get trying to get my parts list laid out

 

who said anything about cams? lol. although i did buy my crower cams off ebay for a hell of a deal last year. idk, i've gotten a lot of good deals from ebay. just gotta watch what you get, which is why i asked about those pillow ball mounts

head (obviously)
dowel pins (got mine off ebay for like 13 shipped)
head gasket
oil feed line/fittings
1/8 npt plug for the head (if you need a pic, i'll take 1 of mine)
ecu/dizzy
vtec water pump and timing belt
you dont need pistons, your ls ones will be fine
piston rings, bearings, gaskets, honda bond or permetex

i think thats it. if im missing anything im sure matt will add to the list

 

ok i just got a offer from someone b16 head the block and type r i/m and tb for 850 is that a good deal or no?

 

not sure if thats a good deal or not. i got a friend that has a b16, running and he wants 800 for it. i'm guessing the typ r intake mani, and tb are worth at least 50 bucks.

 

That not really a good deal unless the block is mint with low miles. I just sold a b16 head, b18b block, gsr water pump and timing belt, arp head studs and a golden eagle kit for $750

 

hmm i think im gonna just get the head and and the itr manifold and tb being that im going ls/vtec the block was really just for the pistons cant use anything else on it oh and oldskool im not sure if im going to carlisle i wanna go though and as far as the ls piston cr will be horrible it would be ok for boost but n/a its not so good

Alot of people asked me the same thing. lol, i sold the stuff like a month ago. My friend might have a gsr head for sale still. I think he wants $375 for it. It's a complete head minus the ecu. I could ask him if you want.

You NEED a transmission from a B16A.

It's really not worth it to spend all of this money on an LS/VTEC setup when you're just going to be using a stock long geared transmission. I can tell you right now that you're not going to be happy with it.

 

yeah ls trannys suck on n/a hondas lol im so happy with my b16 lsd trans but my lsd is super adgressive wish i got the stock one with the trans but i love it

 

I thought you said your have hondata? You need obd1 for that I belive....I have a b16 IM injectors and tb, i will sell ya cheap if its only the head

 

Yup, very much the same move as kids building motors and running on stock Ecu's..............
