hey guys im debating on something right now. should i go lsvtec right now, or should i just swap in a b20 motor? they even out to about the same price. i know you have lsvtec steveo, and i think you're using an ls tranny right now too, have you ran it at the track with just stock lsvtec and an ls tranny? if so what'd you run/

if you build a LS-V by throwings ls kit and head on its not gonna last, you need to get it rebuilt, or you can rebuild it with aftermarket parts, i have spoon polished CTR pistons 81.5 bore with Pinned LS rods and a Polished and Knife edged LS crank, head is fully PnP 3anlge valve job, S2 tit retainers, Dual valve springs, OMNI flat top .25 over Valves, its time and money, my friend rebuilt his with stock internals, and its still running hasnt been to the track with it yet but its ok, i ran a 14.5 on street tires spinning hard off the line didnt even get out of 3rd gear

you don't "NEED" to rebuild unless your block has like 140k+ miles on it. if you pick up a JDM b18b block just make sure you change out the water and oil pump to ITR. you only wanna rebuild it if you wanna push more power on the ls/vtec.

and yes running an ls tranny on a ls/vtec or b20/vtec blows. before i had my J1 tranny i rolled with a ls tranny on my b20vtec those damn gears were way too long! when i put the J1 tranny i felt a world of difference.

on slicks launching from revstall at 6800 i usually build 8-10lbs on the line. it makes 312hp and 245ft/lbs on 14.5psi

heres my competion number so u can match them up to the time slips

lol over here you get state ref for everthing, if you fart too loud, they'll say you have an exhaust and send you to state ref.
well guys, i think im just gonna swap in the low mileage b20, and about a month after that do b20 vtec with my ls tranny, and then save up for a b16 tranny.

a friend of mines cousin had b20vtec on an ls trany, in a DC integra, built head by alanis, but it broke 12's.

alanis was the first people to hit 10's all motor i think. actually, my gf's brother has an ef sedan, back then when he had b20 and b16 tranny, he lost to a da with b20 and ls tranny. haha. imm just put the b20 in, buy the vtec head and tranny, and install it all at once. so for awhile just gonna be b20 on ls, then one day b20vtec on b16 tranny. and then i take over the world!!!
