Default your opinion about a turbo

I have a build b16 9.5:1 and i want to go to the 350+ whp. So today i wanted to order a turbo kit for this. So i went to my tuning shop and i told the guy i want a turbo just for drag racing. I dont need power in low rpm's. So he made a call and said i should go for a t3/t4 with a custum made 69 trim. What do you guys think of a turbo like this.?

for that power there is no need for a custom turbo, most off the shelve T3/T0e's will make enough for you.

For your HP goals, a hybrid 69 trim will be a little overkill. You want to look for turbo that compromises between max power and quick spool up.

honestly a 50trim .63 ar t3/t0e might be your best bet. http://www.cheapturbo.com has them for 550US

and just one more qeustion. Wil it be better to rev higher. I have a type r head, but should i put in other valve springs and retainers in it to rev higher or wil 8500 rpm be good enough?

You should check out cheapturbos.com
They are offering their peak boost turbo kit again. They also supply you with paper work on different applications so you know what to expect. Not to mention it comes with a lovefab manifold, and lovefab downpipe. If i had to buy a turbo kit it would be this one. Good luck.

I have the cheapturbo kit, it is NOT a lovefab manifold to my understanding. Similar design, but my manifold is different then every lovefab i have seen.

i would also recommend the t3/to4e 50 trim w/ .63 a/r for your application and power goals.

edit: to clear up any confusion. our Peakboost manifold is manufactured in house.
