Who's running this MBC (manual boost controller)? *link inside*
http://www.dawesdevices.com/boost.html
I got this for free from another local boost junkie who has like 15 of them laying around. Is it a safe way to up the boost to 10 psi and hold it, or should I stick to adjusting the WG arm on my Greddy kit?

I have never use this one before but for a little bit more you can find a TurboSmart boost T.. They are like $70 and are of a much better quality and can be trusted more..
I wouldnt do the arm thing since your causing the spring in the wastegate to bind up..

True.. I just like having a part that has been tested well.. I could have made my own but I was just too lazy..

I have used one of these on my last 3 turbo setups. They work great, but you can definetly just find the parts somewhere and make it for under 10 bucks.
Since its a ball/spring style, it will hold the wastegate shut until your desired boost pressure is met, helping spool up.

i'd use it. but i've had bad experiences from using a lot of MBCs on my car and friends' cars. they seem to work great at first...then the spring gets old...the **** starts to happen.

Re: Who's running this MBC (boostincoupe)
manual boost controller without max/min setting indications are risky. I took my "elite" manual boost controller apart to clean it and put it back together thinking it was in the same spot.. nope! my dumb *** overboosted and fried three pistons.
anyone wanna see an AEM EMS log where an H22 detonated at about 12:5 afr (with conservative timing advance) and at an unknown boost level?
