Default manual boost controller acting up

i put in my manual boost controller not too long ago, and everything was fine, i had it at about 6 psi. for some reason now, it boosts up higher, like 7, 8, and thats with me not even going on it fully b/c i dont wanna screw anything up. i loosen up the screw yet it still boosts high. i took off the boost controller and ran the lines direct to the wastegate and it ran at about 4.6 psi (where is should be bc the wastegate spring is about that) so the lines are ok and therefore no boost creep. what do u think it is? im assuming its the boost controller but why is it all of a sudden boosting higher?

Temp has to do with it. I have seen my MBC boost 3 more psi because of cold. Good thing for the boost cut

Sometimes things go unexplained. I remember one time with my old MBC I had it set at 20 psi exactly and it would almost always be rock solid at 20 but every now and then would creep up to 21 or so. Then all of sudden it stopped working completely and would only boost about 10 psi no matter what I did and everything else was fine. Hooked it back up to the wastegate and it was back at stock boost. Messed around with this boost controller for a week and never found out what was wrong. My buddy made me another one and we put it on one night and it worked perfectly. I have no clue what was ever wrong with that damn thing.

mbc's suck. Mine never works right...i'm about to just get a larger wastegate spring and run off of that.

I'm thinking of doing the same. I just bought a boost controller and it causes me to spike to whatever it's set to, then it settles back down to the wastegate spring rating.

I'll probably just buy a 1bar spring and be done with it.
