Default white smoke from turbo

after installing my turbo on my sohc v-tec motor, we took it out on the streets and when i get into the high rpms now my car starts to shoot white smoke everywhere?? we just replaced the head gasket last nite and put 450cc injectors in with a resistor pack and now the car wont even start up?? is it because of timing or what?? the car sounds like it wants to start but it just wont??

do a compression test. The white smoke might not be coming from the turbo.

I would think that white smoke would mean a blown headgasket or maybe a cracked sleeve. Check your coolant resivoir and see if the coolant is dark with oil, that will be a sign of a blown headgasket. As for not starting when I put in my 440s it wouldn't start and idle either, get it tuned and it will run. the 450s are being held open like the old stock injectors, it is too much fuel. Put your stock injectors back in and it should fire up.

white smoke is coolant being burned. Could be turbo or headgasket. Worst case cracked block.

when we drained the coolant it was a dark green color, so im guessing like u said, it might be the head. i'll put the stock injectors back in and see if that does any thing, also could my car not be starting because of the timing?? we took of the head and the timing belt?? thanks

i had that same problem till had i my turbo rebuilt. It would only happen when i rev it. I think its you turbo leaking oil. Probably down the exhaust end. Is the turbo new?

like someone else said run a compression test, but if you have the time, run a leakdown test. that way if the numbers come back good, you will know its not the motor and its prob your turbo w/ a bad seal. Are you sure its pure white or does it have a blueish tint to it? mine was blowing out white smoke with a blueish tint and ended up being a broken ringland.

i bought the whole kit off a friend, and the turbo had only 4k miles on it. we checked out the turbo and it seemed to be in good condition.

You could also invest in a cheap solution, that works for many.

Sometimes there is enough oil pressure to force itself past the seals in the turbo.

this will reduce the pressure getting to the turbo, and might help you out. It is worth a shot.

Be sure to double check your engine timing. If it is off your engine will sound like it wants to start but it will not be able to. If that checks out toss your stock injectors in untill you get the proper engine managment.
