Default wastegate

I have a tial wastegate. it is routed so that the dump goes back into the downtube near mani really close to where the downtube bolts to the turbine. i have heard that for higher boost this setup will not work. is that true?

Yeah if i recall, it's best to have 12''-18'' from the turbo downstream. Fed into the downpipe at a smooth flowing angle

exactly, you need to lengthen your tube to as close to the cat as possible(if you have one) and make sure it is at a good angle. Nothing perpendicular, you need to keep the gases flowing smoothly. You are creating too much back pressure right now for high boost application and are probably robbing yourself of a good 15-20 whp right now
