I have a 99 GSR with the Greddy bolt on turbo kit w/ intercooler and upgraded to rc 440cc injectors. I wanted to know if I need to also upgrade to a Walbro 255 HP intank fuel pump with my setup? I was searching around and some say to upgrade so I don't have to worry about it later and some say to just upgrade anyways.

I'm only going to be running the stock boost that comes with the kit, which said in the manual was about 7.5 psi out of the box. I'm going to be runnning a chipped p28 also.

Thanks for looking and comment on what you guys think I should do.

If you are planning on running stock boost levels and the stock pump is in good condition, you do not need to upgrade the pump. It's easy for people to reply, yes get one, but there is no need to spend money on something that you don't absolutley have to have in order to run safely.

I am running the stock pump on my Greddy turbo'd Si with no issues.

stock boost is only liek 5.5 lbs the stock fuel pump will work fine.

some ktis that greddy offers alreayd coe with a pump depending on the kit.

yea, yeah, oh and yup. It is only like 99 so get it. THe increase in injector size will kill your stock pump. It will be at like 100%duty cycle at like 220 hp. Good Luck

i guess i will just stay with the stock pump then...if that goes out then i will upgrade if i need to

umm...if it just "goes out".....then it could SUCK majorly......just a thought......dont be skimpy on turbo stuff...otehrwise, you'll be spending more money than 85 bux for a new pump......just buy one!

You dont need it...the stock gsr fuel pump is fine..And for people that dont know it Dohc vtec fuel pumps flow 135lph unlike the soch,sohc vtec,and dohc fuel pumps which only flow 79lph..
