TURBO CLOCKING PROBLEM!!!!!! HELP PLEASE!!
ok i got a garrett t3 turbo out of a saab900, i clocked the compressor side but the exhaust side is givving me hell, it looks like the bitch is rusted shut, i just put some PB blaster on it, hit it with a sledge, nd still no budge, is it time to use a propane torch? would that even work?!

have you tried spraying it with some pb blaster and letting it soak in for awhile? that **** works wonders

ok soaked it with PB blaster, torched it for 1/2 hour, BEAT it with a sledge, this bitch wont move! does it have turbo guide pins? also i think i may have screwed it up a lil bit the exhaust fins are rubbing a lil bit on the housing, but if i push it up a lil bit it stops, will this also affect performance?

Build yourself a breaker bar that bolts to the oil returm flange. I made one out of a piece of 1.5" black iron pipe and a 1"x1/4"x5" piece of steel stock welded to one end. Just drilled two holes in the plate that matched up with the drain flange and bolted it on real snug like. I put the turbo in the vise and have a friend hit the turbo end of the pipe while I pull. works great on those old T3s.
be careful if your try a real torch. I ruined a nice 50 trim saab once by getting it too hot with my oxy/acet torch with no oil to cool the bearings & seals. needless to say it didn't spin so hot afterwards. not really sure what I screwed up though, never took it apart. anyway, good luck!
