Buying a turbo and need help!!!
Hi all, Im buying a turbo from a guy on a local forum and wanted to see if there was any tips you can give me on spotting if it's a good turbo or not. I'm basically wondering if there are any obvious things i would notice if it was a bad turbo. Hope you can help. BTW it is a garret t3/t4. Thanks!!

shaft play in and out means the turbo is fucked. shaft play side to side if ok as long as it is very very minimal.

yea, just check for shaft play. side to side should be a tiny bit, when there is only in it, it should tighten up. Pulling in or out, should be minimal to none. Make sure the blades haven't be scrapping the sides
