8psi Internal wastegate from a saab
Turbular T3 Manifold
12:1 Vortec FMU

tuned can have a lot to do with everything....

how much boost is a shitload? technically you should be right around 8 psi the whole time

for your case, heres a few possibilities:

your wastegate is creeping/isnt able to hold the boost back. that turbo larger than the saab turbo, and it is gonna be holding back a lot of air to keep you at 8 psi, so maybe the wastegate creeps up a bit. it does happen with internal gates.

maybe the boost in 3rd and 4th is what you are actually making, and you arent hookin up as well in 1st and 2nd and therefore there isnt as much load on the motor, though if that were to effect you, i dont think it would be drastic at all.

i think we need a lil more info to help you better

well, first gear in hondas is generally useless...you should spin through it. but if youre running on an FMU and a fuel pump, youre gonna be lucky to be seeing a 12:1 afr throughout your rpm range. cars that are hondata/uberdata/crome/neptune/emanage programmed, will run richer down low to spool quicker....youll get quicker spool and more power throughout your powerband because you can adjust the AFR. as well as the timing. ditch the fmu....keep the pump, put some injectors in her, and get some type of tuning.

12:1 fmu does not mean 12:1 afr

it means that for every psi of boost it ups fuel pressure 12 psi... so 8 psi = 96psi + 42psi base fuel pressure = 138psi of fuel pressure at the injectors.... hes running pig rich

i never did understand how that **** worked...

either way, i said he would have been lucky to see 12:1 afr....and that isnt running rich....but theres still some room for more power. i didnt know exactly what afr he would be at.....but it would be 12 or less to one..

How much boost are you actually running? If its 8psi then it should practically spool competely in 2nd gear. Now 15psi on the other hand.... lol Id generally be fully spooled by the end of 2nd. Have you retarded the timming at all?

Just cause its an 8psi wategate doesnt mean its 8psi on all turbos, it kept the little *** Saab turbo it was designed for at 8psi, but with your big turbo its probably creeping more and more in higher gears. And FMU's suck for future reference.
