If you run .45 degrees retard per psi on 93 octane at 15psi you are far braver than i would ever be

i run .3 - .35 per pound till 10 on my b20 , that will still add up to 3.0 - 3.5 degrees pulled at 10 psi then i use a more linear approach to get the timing safe. Its a B20 you know haha runs like a raped ape

i dont know if you guys know but stock turbo cars dont even pull timing till 2-5 pounds then it starts to pull. But then again if the motor knocks in lets say a dsm it pulls like 10-15 degrees out but a honda w/ knock sensor will pull 2-3 max that = boom. also the larger your bore the more timing you actually need to make a complete combustion cycle. so my b20 actually requires more timing then an ls to fire correctly id say max .5 on my b20 while the ls motor is closer to .75- 1 degree pulled max or else the cars will show low hp and bog like a pos

Not necessarily true. In a stock turbo car, the timing is jst a curve; thus, there is no point where it "starts to pull." Usually you have like, close to 40 degrees at very low load (light cruise) and then a gradual curve down to around 20 degrees at WOT. In between it's just between the two as you would expect.

That is a very good point. The knock sensing systems on Hondas are simply not engineered or programmed to cope with the high cylinder pressures of a turbo car (if they were, it would suck for NA, which they ARE designed for!)

BIGGER DISPLACVEMENT CALLS FOR MORE TIMING OR THE CAR WONT RUN RIGHT. AN H22 NEEDS MORE TIMIGN THAN A B16 AT THE SAME BOOST.

to you, honda's pull 12 degrees and give one degree back every second for the next twelve seconds.
