Default Timing on JRSC?

I have a JRSC on my 94 SOHC VTec Si. I am wondering if I need to change the timing or I should keep the factory timing? Any input? Thanks.

do you have any engine management? If not, yes you will need to retard the timing. I think I have it retarded bout 10 degrees, and im running a stock JRSC on a gsr. you will run into a prob with pre-denotation if you dont retard the timin.

10 or 11 degrees at the distributor is fine

do you have the JR map mod?

i'm using the JR map mod on my gsr motor and i have my timing set back one degree running 6psi. so mine is set at 15BTDC. setting it at 10BTDC makes your car run like *** IMO.

i use 93 octane though
