I don't understand my JR BTC unit... Please help!
Is this right...? With the JR BTC, I can leave my timing at stock. When at boost, the BTC automatically retards timing.
I'm having everything installed today and I just want to make absolute sure everything will be safe when I tell my mechanic NOT to retard the timing.
On my previous car (95'GSR) I had the timing set at 10 with the JRSC and JR BTC. I was hitting consistent 13.80's. Can I expect better 1/4 times with the timing set to stock on my new car (01' GSR) even though it's OBD 2.2?

There is alot of people on hostboard that are more expeirenced with the JRSC. I know a lot of people there use the BTC so someone will be able to explain it better.

That's about right. You can bump the timing back up to stock. I have mine at about 15 degrees. My BTC is set about four clicks from the left. The more you turn it to the right, the more it retards timing, I believe.
