T04E stage 3 on 9:1 b16a2 how much hp?
I wanted to know what you guys think ill make with a t3t04E stage 3 (50 trim)50A/R Compressor side 48A/R turbine side on my 9:1 Compression b16a2. On pump gas i plan on running 15 psi. and on race gas about 25psi. How much power do you guys think ill make? Ems= Crome Pro

.50 A/R tells us nothing. All TO4E housings are a .50 A/R, but you can have anything from a 46-trim wheel in there which would support maybe 400 WHP, or a T67 wheel inside the TO4E housing, which would suppot ~650 WHP. Be more accurate with your turbo nomenclature before you can ask us to give you a horsepower guess.

Every one I've seen in person has been .50, but my point is that A/R of a compressor cover has nothing to do with the wheel that's inside the housing.

The .48AR turbine housing will keep your power on the modest side. Especially on the top end. Recommend .63 or bigger for any VTEC engine.

ya i would never put all that money into an engine and risk it with eagles...i've heard alot of good things, don't get me wrong, but i've also heard many of horror stories.

ya it can be done, but the reliability factor isn't there, well is a toss up.
don't get me wrong, eagles are great rods for sub 500whp level, but after that you're pushing the limits of the rods and the stock sleeves. with his setup, on high boost, i'd imagine he'd be right around the 450whp....so it's just a toss up to me. goodluck tho

my overall goal is 400whp. I dont want anymore than that. Even if it takes me 40 psi on this turbo to reach 400whp then ill do it. 400whp on race gas isnt rare a lot of people have made 500+whp on stock sleeves.

wow....first off, you're not going to push that turbo any more than about 25psi and even that is a stretch. I can see you possibly making 400whp, but you're going to push that 57 trim to the ends of its efficiency and it is going to hate you for it. If you're looking for a turbo that is going to make that kind of power, you may need to get something designed more for that kind of application.
You can figure that the 57 trim is going to stop giving you power at about 21psi and should yield less than 440whp. If your goal is less than that, you're fine, but dont think this turbo is going to make outrageous power....

wow is right. Like i said 400whp is my goal. with this turbo i should be able to make that with 22psi. I know the turbo isnt efficient after 25psi. At 15 psi the setup should put down about 300whp. and on 22+ i should be able to reach my 400whp mark.
