Dyno Results - Bensons 83mm/Eagle/CP LS/VTEC
I realize now what people mean when they say "Best exhaust for a Turbo is NO exhaust"
I have a tiny T3 .48 A/R Stage 2 turbine, with a 2.5" exhaust with an OEM cat. And the numbers show it.
291 WHP @ 7750
203 TRQ @ 7250
15 PSI Running 11.5:1 Air Fuel ratio
The compressor is a nice T04E .60 A/R, 57 Trim wheel, so that helped make more power than the average .48 turbine wheel produces.
The car still pulls like a freight train, and the power is usable on the street.
Would've liked to break the magical 300, but hey, the motor has a whole 700 kilometers on it. Maybe once I'm done breaking it in, I will upgrade the whole exhaust and re-tune for 350 WHP.
Log Manifold, T3/T04E .48 Stage 2 turbine -.60 57 Trim Compressor
Tial 35mm Wastegate
Turbo XS RFL BOV
83mm Bensons LS Block (assembled by Earl)
Eagle Rods
CP 83mm 9:1 pistons
B16 Head with GS-R cams
MSD Ignition
NGK BCPR7ES
Walboro 255 in tank
Hondata Stage 2B
720cc Injectors
Centerforce DF clutch - 3 boosted years and holding!

15 PSI
I'll try to find the tune page - it's hard to read though
The green line is the A/F. The line it ~ follows is 11.62
Ranges from 11.4 (low) to 11.8 (high)
The tune is VERY good and linear.

Lookin good Todd. Did Chris do the tune? Nice graph for the street and it looks safe You can tell it is starting to run out of turbo but that is ok for now. That mani looks nice, also.

I have a VERY similar set up :
same turbo as you
2.5 " exuast (what seems to be holding me back per tom @ payn)
benson sleeved 83mm 9:1 cp/pauters b18c5 block
hondata /750cc rc's
walbro 255
etc
I just got back from the dyno and the similarities to yours are astounding:
@ 15psi :293.0 hp @ 8000 rpm / 211 ft-lbs @ 6250
and
@ 19psi : 331.7 hp @8000 rpm/243.6 ft/lbs @ 6250
all on a mustang dyno as well.
I just though the similarities were striking in both set ups and wish I had a way to post my graph

Don't worry, on a dynojet you are probally over 300whp, so there ya go! Also, upgrade that exhaust and I'm sure you'll reach 250whp. I had a stock caton my car, with stock B-pipe and RSR ex mag, and damn that **** was restrictive.

My best friend. It's just a log mani, but I had it cerma-chromed. The wastegate dump is not as pretty, as it originally gonna be open dump, but I changed my mind halfway through, so it is kinda quick job, but it works.
Thanks Earl, yeah, Chris did the tune. Said it was about as high as he's seen a .48 A/R Stage 2 turbine go as far as HP on Honda's. I'm guessing the 4-bolt outlet on the turbin, and unusually large compressor (for that turbine) made the diff. I think if we went to 8K, it would've hit 300 - it was definitely on track. Ah well, I wouldn't feel the extra 9 HP anyways......
Overall, I am pretty happy, we'll see if I get bored whether or not the exhaust/turbine will be upgraded....
