stock B18 LS Turbo. Need some help on how to eyeball tune it.
Can somebody help me please. I am about to put a turbo for my 00 civic coupe with a stock ls. Can somebody help me on how to eyeball tune it so my ish doesn't blow up. O i will be boosting about 8-10psi. Here is what I got so far
t3/t4 turbonetics
2.5" downpipe
Blitz BOV
APEXi Black S-AFC 2 air flow/fuel controller
Blitz SSBC street spec boost controller (which I don't think I'll need)
Tial 38mm wastegate
Blox manifold
12:1 FMU
Walbro 255lph fuel pump
I think that is about it. I am new to the turbo game so please help me out on anything possible.
Again I am new to the turbo game. So please don't smash on me. I have been trying to do research for weeks now.

Remove the wastegate spring so the car wont kick into boost
drive nicely and safely to a tuner
tune car
drive it

drive it

stock injectors? if you have the s-afc already put in, start at about 2000rpm at hi-thrtl and increase 50% and keep it 50% up everyplace until the upper rev limit on the s-afc. hi-thrtl should be 80%ish. lo-thrtl is wherever you drive daily. get used to how far you push down the pedal when you drive normally, and watch the % that it says the thrtl is at on the s-afc. my guess is 30%. it depends on you.
now your thrtl points are set. find someone who uses the s-afc or has used it before to tune. you can connect your o2 sensor to the blue s-afc wire and watch its voltage... there are plenty of walk throughs online... keep voltage above .92 (most keep it close to 1.0v) to keep safe rich a/fs.
good luck.

I don't think that the stock injectors will handle that much boost, I think that is maxing them out.

If they aren't already maxed out, your duty cycles are probably damn close
Get some injectors or at least an FMU.

u could do a basic setup like what comes on a drag turbo kit. this works well for those lacking the funds for injectors, software and for a tune as long as the boost is low(around 8psi or so). u will need a 12:1 rising rate fmu, inline or intank fuel pump, and a missing link so the ecu will not read boost and start acting crazy. pull around 3- 4 degrees base timing on the dizzy from the factory seting. this worked very well for me on my very first turbo setup, a drag kit on a b20z non vtec. made 239 whp 231 tq on 8lb on a dyno jet. ran 13.04@110.6 in a ek hatch on azenis. afr on the dyno stayed 11.7-12.0 under full boost. this is not the best way, but it does work. i put 14k on this motor beating the **** out of it, sold the motor to a guy who did b20/vtec, motor still runs to this day, on oem bottom. it is wise to take it to a dyno, as i did after the install to check the afr with this setup.

O yeah forgot to type in the 12:1 FMU and a fuel pump. I do have one. Also I made the missing link so it doesn't read boost. Should be going into the car this weekend hopefully. Also I got a fuel rail not AEM but it's full chrome as a christmas present. Also I trying to boost only around 8-10 pounds since my 1.8 is all stock. Also I will be bringing it to a dyno place some time in the future to tune everything out. Have to make some more money first. Also my motor was rebuilt so it only has liek 10k on it.

If you want this to last.. do the following:
1). Sell the FMU
2). Use the money for at LEAST some 440cc injectors
3). Sell the fuel pump
4). Use the money to get something like Crome pro, or uberdata if you want to be cheap
5). Learn how to tune and start on low boost
Jumping into 8-10psi with no real solid fuel setup is asking for trouble in my opinion. Stock injectors won't be good at those levels either. All that stupid FMU is going to do is jack fuel pressure WAY up to try to make up for your lack of injectors. Just get the larger injectors, some kind of management and do things correctly. with management also you will be able to run ignition retard. Very important.

Re: (wes7side5o)
I'm installing my fuel rail tomorrow and wanted to know if n e body knew what the fuel pressure is suppose to be at for a stock ls with a t3/t4 turbo with a 12:1 fmu and 255lph fuel pump 38mm wastegate and a blox manifold. I will be boosting around 8-10 psi. more likely 8.

12:1 raises the fuel pressure 12 psi per pound of boost if im not mistaken.
10 psi boost on a 12:1 is 120 psi, plus the 40ish static pressure = 160 psi under boost in the rail give or take...
seriously either boost up at like 6 psi on the fmu, and kick back your distributor like 2 degrees, or get someone to chip tune it on a program such as uberdata, chrome, whatever

are you guys saying that since i got a missing link, 255lph wal bro, and a paxton fcu. i can put my turbo kit on my car, i just cant run much boost without being tuned? i hear any kind of boost will hurt a motor without being tuned...also, my motor is not stock, im kind of iffy on putting my kit on until i have money for tuning...what should i do?

I say do not put the turbo kit in until u have enough money for tune. I am tuning my car on Friday. I am boosting but not much at all. Car runs rich because my car is not tuned. My 3rd and 4th gear has a lil lag. So the tune should fix that. You could put it in tho just not recommended.
