spoolin performance 450cc
so I have a set of these injectors, and was getting ready to open up the lower seals to fit around the fat end, and noticed they are slightly different than the stock ones. (i have new upper orings for the fue rail side)
1. do i need to remove the oring on the end that the lower seal goes on?
2. the top seams to be shorter. (the part that goes into the rail.) is that right?
I might be over thinking these things, but i know you guys will have the answers. Thanks.

due to past experience and reading up on HT you are having the same trouble as using DSM 440/450CC injectors. What you need to do is take a dremel to the lower grommets and open the hole up to accept the bigger diameter injector not to hard just takes some patience. also for the shorter injector on top you are just going to have to test fir the rail once the injectors are installed, just to make sure it tightens down correctly. If it does i would roll with it. Just my $.02
yeah, I have done the lower seal enlarging for some DSM bluetops before, I didn't know if this was the same instance, and what to do about the existing oring and injector size difference.
2 outsides are stock
black inner is a lucas/delphi injector AKA precision/msd/rochester/ everyone takes them and rebadges them

no need to bore it out. lube it up and insert them in . they;ll naturally conform to the shape and they will not balloon, deform or pop out
They will fit better if you remove some material, but some silicone grease is all you really need. As for the height you have 2 options. 1) cut part of the stock rubber spacers (on the pictured injectors) and place them on the new units, or 2) reduce the spacer height used between the fuel rail and manifold.
All you really need is a good seal top & bottom, height isn't a big issue. If its not sucking vacuum or squirting fuel, it will be good for boost.
