the recommended number of twists is 6 to 8 per inch, it looks like you have a few too many...

Attempt #2

Craig from TunerToys was generous enough to help me out and send one of their drain flanges to gain some height on the turbo end of the line. This time I used the correct line for the fittings and a 90* on one end. Although it is an improvement, I am still concerned about the slope angle and going back to the original configuration puts a displeasing radius in the line.

Is this risky?

looks like 2 45's would work going behind the piping would work a bit better but id have to see it in person to tell.
