equal length manifold oil return setups... help
how are you epople doing this? my return line is like 2.5" long and i have a tinky kink in it. I took another piece of hosing and kinked it the same way and oil still flows through it just fine so its not blocked off or anything but I still do not like it this way. anyone have any pics? Im using the standard return flange, a 45 degree male to male off of it, to a 2.5" earl's -10 line which goes to a straight bung in my pan.
I think thats how I did mine.. I was able to angle the fittings in a way that kept the line from kinking..Make sure that teh kink is not from when you tightened the hose fitting and the hose twisted. You might try using two wrenches to hold it still.
it might be that your bung is located in a bad spot on the oil pan... it might make much more sense to weld on a new bung.
Here's a pic of my setup...
I've yet to run it, but I doubt I will have any problems. It's completly down hill from the fitting on the turbo to the fitting on the pan. This was the only way I could find that wouldn't cause the ss line to kink.

You only need 2.5" of the return line ? that's kinda short in a way. It's hard to get 2.5" of line to bend. My suggestion is to try to use a longer line to route it. As long as the line is going downhill, longer versus shorter line is not too significant.
