i also use the profec b spec. Its is was most of the racers use to control high and low boost off the remote. I switch down the track in 1st and 2nd we push 22psi and 3rd and 4th we push 32psi so its fun and easy to use. one of the bst in my opinion also. Cheap is very key when you want to race. spend money on parts that are more valuable like a Speed Pro ecu or some nice pistons and upgraded motor.

How can a Non-Bleeder type MBC be less reliable? I would just like to know how you can think of it logically and deduct this? Did your sister's cousin's Mother's Homedog tell you this? I think you should do a little more research into what you post before you post it. Let me ask you another thing, have you ever used a MBC or known anyone who uses one? Everyone is going to have their own opinions on this, and why not, this is America, we are entitled to them. But don't go and degrade something without anything to back it up. EBC are good, and yes you getting different options the more you pay, but MBC are just as good, plus there are no electronic parts. What are the chances of the electronics becoming faulty, 1 to a million. And I am sure the failure rate of the MBC is the same. But the cost is very different! The point of a boost controller is to do just that, control boost. Why spend more money on something when you don't have to. I understand wanting to have the lastest and greatest, but in the HP world it is about reliablity and money. Both are equally reliable but one costs less. I don't want to sound like an ***, but if you are going to make a statement like that, please give us your evidence to back it up!

yo gsr-lude,

relax dude....what's up? Not getting enuf after hours action, that why you so angry? Anyways, i just said i heard someone mention in one of the boards, either this or another one, that some manual boost controllers leak. Notice i said i heard, i didn't state that MBCs are any less reliable. It was something that i threw out hoping for confirmation to the fact or a refute. I got the refute, thank you very much gsr-dude, but don't get your panties all in a bunch. You need to get laid badly.

Well I don't know what's up with this whole getting laid thing, but as for MBC's vs. EBC's, I've used a MBC before I installed my AVC-R, I absolutley hated the damn thing. It was a nightmare to set it exactly where you wanted it, and when I finally did set it at just the right psi for me, it'd change on it's own. Suddenly i'd push the car and i'd watch my psi spool up to 6psi, then drop off to 3psi out of nowehre. I checked every connection and vacum line onn that car, nothing. Turns out the MBC was simply losing boost. I guess the spring would compress more and more rather than maintain a certain position to allow for a constant boost. Whatever the case, I certainly don't have those probs with my EBC. I've heard of others with MBC that have run just fine so I can't knock MBC's altogether, but I wasn't very pleased with mine (ball and spring type).

Sorry bro, I didn't mean to vent on you. It was just a build up factor (No pun intended)! I have been reading over the posts and I see a lot of those comments. Sorry if I came off like an ***, that was not my intention. The post below yours is a good example. He tried a MBC and it did not work out for him, by the way who made your MBC. I want to stay away from that one. Everyone I know uses a MBC. One even made his own, and it works like a champ. Again smooth, I am sorry, and I am going to hit the wife up tonight. Hopefully that will avoid future outbursts!

degredated...the point of getting a boost controller is obviously to control boost, no t to play around with all the buttons and features and say "WHEEEEE THIS IS FUN"....well maybe you got mad benjaminz to blow off on all the best of the best electronics for your car, but most of us dont..we just need something reliable that does it job...i just didnt find that post very amusing.
