SOHC k04 turbo setup questions
just curious if anyone else is running this turbo on there single cam motors. i plan on putting it on my y7 (F*CK VTEC), running FMU/missing link. i know its a small turbo, but its what im looking for. heres my questions:
the turbo is smaller than a t3/t4, so could i run higher boost safe on stock internals?
how much boost are you running on stock internals?
are you using a stock fuel pump or walboro?

Re: SOHC k04 turbo setup questions (japearl)
i have not seen many people running those turbos, but a pump is recommended...you would be better off running uberdata vs. the fmu and missing link set-up...if you went with the missing link and fmu 9 times out of 10 it will be changed to something better, it's simply and easy way out in my opinion (a mistake i won't make again)
as far as the size do not expect too much out of that turbo...don't get me wrong it will spool quicker then a t3/t4...
boost numbers will relate in the tuning...i could not tell a specific number of psi possible, many of the guys and gals here on h-t have motors that take a LOT and that is with stock internals, good luck

if you are going to run anywhere near an amount of boost that will push your stock internals then you need to get a better fuel setup.

i would expect it to be like a greddy kit at 6.5...that is not much boost, especially for a small turbo like that...but as stated that fmu and missing link should be a last resort...uberdata and 450 dsm's would treat you better...

the kit i bought comes with a fmu/missing link setup. id plan on geting injectors and a walboro fuel pump as well... why is the missing link/fmu combo frowned upon? (search is down ) im not looking to go crazy fast, my goal was to run 15.5
thanks for the info and help
