I would check for leaks around the coupling and the BOV area...what kind of turbo is it? and on what engine?

Re: Slow spool to full boost (drvfast)
If you are runng a t3/t4e on an LS engine like it says in your sig...I think that's your problem. You might want to step down to a t3/t4b with the .50 A/R housing

InTeGrA B18b1, like i've said, if you're running the same turbo as i am (t3/t04e .63 turbine, .60 compressor .57 trim) then that's about the right spool time. you sacrafic spool time for power with larger turbos. if you really think something is wrong...check your wastegate to see if it's leaking at idle or vacuum. that's probably the only real problem i can see.

open dp 2.5 from a drag kit and one guy said he got full boost at 3800~7 psi on a stock ls. you think it could be my bov because it flutters a lot.

Not unless its leaking...if its fluttering then it needs adjustment, but it won't effect spooltime. My money is on you turbo and compression...sounds pretty normal for your setup

Re: Slow spool to full boost (InTeGrA B18b1)
here's a good way to check...unhook your BOV from any vacuum source, while in neutral revv your motor...but do not boost and do it slowly from the engine bay, check to see if your BOV is leaking any air. if it's not then it's fine. do the same with your wastegate as well.
what type of BOV do you have? if you have any adjustable BOV it could be that it's too hard. it's either that or your wastegate is not closed all the way. i've had both do this that's why i know. either way, just check both of them to see which one is leaking.

Re: Slow spool to full boost (InTeGrA B18b1)
did it used to spool faster before with the same setup? did you change anything?
and what is the air temp outside compared to before when it spooled faster?
and how is your ignition tiumming did you change or mess with anything with that?
there is alot to take into consideration if the same setup is still remaining

not yet, and i don't know for sure if i'll get any runs in yet because i sent my hondata stage 3 that i just bought for $200 last week and i'm not sure when i'm gonna get it. i could run with the setup i have right now and boost 13psi but i would only be tuning with my butt although i do have to admit that i do beat wrx's, gs-t's, and a lot of other turbocharged cars with my little turbo'd honda. the only cars i've lost to are the big v6 turbo guys, and the EVO 8.
